Apart from the excellent view from the balcony, the property was well equipped, spacious, clean and proper - José was an excellent host who was always there for us and would advice us on different things to do around São Miguel!

This was a fabulous stay for our time on Sao Miguel. Location was great to tour various parts of the island and it was immaculate. Our host Jose' was so accommodating and had great suggestions for restaurants, hikes and things to do in the area. It was a pleasant surprise to find a coffee pot in addition to an espresso machine so we could have a regular cup of coffee in the mornings as well. The unit was spotless and having the hot tub overlooking the ocean was a perfect way to end our days. 10/10 recommend!

My stay at the Slope House was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I made my booking, the host was incredibly attentive and welcoming. The communication was smooth and effortless - the host contacted me prior to my visit, ensuring all of my needs and preferences were met. The personalized recommendations and local tips were invaluable and enhanced my experience on the island. The apartment itself is a true gem. Cleanliness was top-notch, and the thoughtful design made me feel right at home. Every detail had been considered, from the well-equipped kitchen to the cozy living space. The real showstopper, though, was the stunning ocean view - a sight that I will forever cherish. Whether I was enjoying my morning coffee or winding down in the evening, the ever-changing hues of the ocean were a constant companion. The location was perfect for exploring the island, providing easy access to various attractions and points of interest. The free bicycles were an unexpected but delightful addition, allowing us to explore the area at our own pace and immerse ourselves in the local culture. The terrace with its jacuzzi and ocean view was the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of exploration. There is nothing quite like the feeling of soaking in the warm water while taking in the breathtaking surroundings. Check-in and check-out were a breeze, and the host made sure the entire process was smooth and hassle-free. I am genuinely grateful for the wonderful stay and the memories made during my time at the Slope House. I wholeheartedly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a remarkable stay on the island.

Sweeping, private view over the ocean. Really enjoyed looking out to sea - whether relaxing on the deck, at dinner or from the kitchen view. The whole appartment is very comfortable and tastefully decorated.

Modern, comfortable house in a great location for touring San Miguel and with beautiful views. Our host, Jose was so helpful with information and tips for places to visit. The hot tub was excellent too!

Everything was great - magical view of the Ocean from the panoramic window and terrace (never get bored:) large, comfortable apartament and well maintained. The bathroom was also very clean. It was peaceful and nice. We really liked the owner, he was extremely nice, and welcoming. I would definitely go back there!

What you will on find Sao Miguel - and on the Azores in general - is that you are in fact truly welcome. You will find no better example of this than your host José: Extremely helpful, providing excellent tips and tricks on to get the most out your time on the island(s) and just basically making you feel at ease and, well, welcome. The flat itself is elegant, clean and modern with an almost Scandinavian aestethic, and the view just great. It's simply zen to watch the cow on the meadow (wife: "the cow just stood up!" Me: dropping everything and running to the balcony :-) ). 100 meters further out, you have the ocean with a view that stretches all the way to Santa Maria Island 140 km away on a clear day. Do yourself a favor and simply go down to the rocky beach beneath the church in the evening, put your feet in the Atlantic, enjoy a glass of wine and just enjoy the moment. In short: When visiting the Azores, Slope House should at the very top of your shortlist!

The view on the ocean is stunning, the apartment is fully furnished ( as Italians, we greatly appreciated the bidet in the bathroom!). Jose is an incredible host, always available. He shared his recs about excursions/restaurants and things to in the island.

If you don’t have a car, the bus system isn’t really reliable. However, if you do have a rental car, it’s perfect because you’re close to Ponta Delgada and close enough to the highway to get anywhere on the island fast.

This place was everything we hoped for. The view is absolutely amazing, the couch and bed are extremely comfortable and the bathroom is sparkling clean (like the rest of the bathroom place). I would definitely stay here again!

Parking on the street was hit or miss.

The view is stunning! The hot tub with a view of the ocean was a nice perk. The beds were very comfortable. And it was completely quiet there at night, even though one bedroom faces onto the street.

José the host was amazing. He gave us very good recommendations and asked us basically every day if everything is still alright or if something's missing. The apartment without jacuzzi is also very very nice with a great view on the coast and the ocean. Bit if available take the jacuzzi apartment :)

The apartaments are even more beautiful than on the pictures. Its clean, spacious, well designed. The Jacuzzi with the ocean view on the terasse is a perfect idea for colder evenings. And on top of that, the greatest host we have ever met, very helpful and friendly. He will give you all tips you need to discover the island.

We liked everything!

The location! the waking up to the ocean, the jacuzzi with a view, the smart and stylish apartment and the wonderful host that made sure nothing was missing!! We had a wonderful time and we were very sorry to leave...

There are no bad things to say about the apartment or the host. The only point I can mention here is, that the street, the apartment is in, is very narrow and since you don’t get a reserved parking space you have to look for a free slot on the side of the road. Most of the times, this worked just fine, but if it is a busy time, it could also take you a while to find a free spot. Just make sure you don’t have a big car 😉

Everything was pretty perfect. We had the smaller apartment upstairs and it is very modern, super clean, well equipped and had a great view of the ocean. In addition, the host José is very welcoming, gives you a lot of recommendations and tries everything he can to serve all your needs. All in all, I can only recommend the place 🙂

We had a wonderful stay at the Slope House. The apartment is very modern furnished, spacious and has everything you need. The host José is very nice, gave us many great tips for our vacation and was always available if we needed anything. The view from the balcony is breathtaking and we had breakfast or dinner on the balcony almost every day. There are a few restaurantes in walking distance and the apartment is a perfect starting point to discover all parts of the island.

Excellent apartments with two bedrooms and jacuzzi😍 One bedroom has a wonderful view to the ocean🤩 Every day we had breakfast on the terrace and enjoyed the jacuzzi in afternoon after long day full of impressions😊. Jose is a great host, we got valuable recommendations from him about the island, especially the restaurants😋Thank you so much!☀️
