What a really lovely stay we had - Only wish we had booked more nights here. The view of the Atlantic Ocean and the sheer tranquility from our room was absolutely amazing. We felt so relaxed. Daily breakfast was delightful - Continental breakfast with some warm selections cooked on request. The bar has the most wonderful cocktails I’ve ever tasted - Be sure to ask about their daily specials! We also really enjoyed the sauna, Turkish bath, and the outdoor pool! Staff are friendly, helpful and cheerful.

My only complaint is that there were no comfortable chairs in the room. There was no place to relax and read or watch TV, except on the chaise lounges on the patio.

Our room was amazing. We had a corner room with a wonderful ocean view and our own plunge pool. It was extremely private and we enjoyed watching the skies at night from our very secluded patio. There were two comfortable chaise lounges on the patio. The room and the bathroom were spacious and the walk-in shower so easy to use.

FOOD: The breakfast is very well curated and generous. Great bar lunch options. The dinner menu is very well thought out and the chef is excellent. Beautiful wine carte. We have been to the region before and were pleased to stay in for dinner many nights vs searching around. You can explore for lunch, swim in the ocean ( or pool) in the late afternoon and relax at night. Very responsive staff. MOOD: The property is well staged - very New Mediterranean. Each corner has a story to tell. We loved our room with the views of the lush hills and am sure the ocean views are wonderful, if not more. Book early. LOCATION: Close to Mosteiros, Sete Cicades, Ponte Delgada. REGRETS: Not going horseback riding.

Amazing scenery. Very few people so nice and peaceful. Spa facilities and pool are really really good. We enjoyed an amazing sunset at dinner. Rooms are clean and stylish. Staff is helpful and attentive.

Excellent Breakfast and dinner. All the staff were very friendly and attentive. Very comfortable bed. Great rural location and lovely views of the sea. Nice outdoor pool area, and heated indoor pool. Great Cocktails prepared by Joseph & Tony !! Fantasic service by Natasha & Mariana in the restaurant.

Unfortunately we had an ant infestation in our room. They appeared on mass the second night of three. They found the complimentary treats left by the staff so we couldn’t enjoy those and were crawling thru the cupboard and along the bathroom sink. Thankfully, there were none in the bed. Also, be aware that the property, while spectacular, is remote with many of the sites on the other end of the island.

The property and its setting is very pretty perched above the ocean. The staff are what sets this place apart with their warm and welcoming nature. We loved the breakfasts and enjoyed relaxing in the bar area.

It felt as though they’re still training staff. This was the only hotel on the island where no one congratulated us on our special occasion, even though we had sent a message about it in advance. Other hotels did decorations and provided freebies, though this hotel is already well priced so we didn’t expect this. But a simple - “welcome to our hotel and congratulations” is a good thing to do for a 5* hotel. From the adverts we expected more personal touches of the “empty nesters” who own the place, but it felt very impersonal and we felt like a pieces on a production line. Nothing that more staff training couldn’t fix though. There were some design hiccups such as not having direct access from bathroom to the terrace which would make so much more sense, the safe was broken (they offered to fix but it would take long and we didn’t have time). The bedroom light shone directly to face when resting on the bed. There was no door lock for the room.

Having a private plunge pool and the sea view from the terrace was just lovely. There were small snacks provided and hotel put an effort into breakfast including some diary free options. Wifi was good. We didn’t use the communal indoor pool but it looked lovely too.

The resort is in such an incredibly beautiful area of the island and the view of the ocean is simply incredible! We had a room with a small pool and ocean view and it was wonderful. The staff are great and would highly recommend letting the bartender, Joseph, curate a cocktail experience for you. He made the most incredible cocktails we have ever had. The resort should let, Joseph, curate their bar menu because he is extremely talented. We would come back just for his drinks. The resort is wonderful and very relaxing. If you are lucky you will also get to meet the owners golden retrievers, who we loved and miss already!

Our bathroom in the room 18 had a large clear window facing the side of the parking lot where all the guests walking toward the entrance. Even though the bathroom had a blind, it was a bit annoying, because we had to close the blind most of the time for the privacy. The room had only one small trash can in the bathroom, which is inconvenient. We were missing macarons in the room one of the days. We asked but they never provided for that day. We were sad.

The staff was very friendly. It is a quiet location with a beautiful view of the ocean. It was nice to use steam and sauna room after a long hike. The breakfast was nice. We loved wasabi soy nuts and macarons in the room.

Amazinnnggh place. Free room upgrade, excellent massage! Infinity pool overlooking the ocean, and a pool and saunas indoor for the cold or rainy weather! Beautiful and comfy rooms, amazing service at all times. Best breakfast of my whole stay and amazing restaurant for supper! Excellent! Simply!

The prices are higher than the rest of the island, but the service and quality make them worth it

The staff was absolutely wonderful. Julia, who helped check us in went above and beyond to book the hot springs for us give great recommendations for restaurants and areas to visit and even helped us find an incredible sailing experience! We loved the facilities, while we enjoyed going to the public hot springs on the island, coming back to this secluded oasis was the best part. We used the facilities as a circuit, spending time in the sauna before using the gorgeous outdoor pool as a cold plunge and repeating this circuit a few times. While the outdoor pool is not heated, it was perfect to plunge into after the sauna, and then return to the heated indoor pool. We also did a couples massage that included an 80 minute body massage and 20 minute head massage that was transcendental. We had the king room with it's own small pool, I was expecting the pool to be cold but it was slightly warm, not a hot tub, but warm enough we could enjoy it during our cool mornings. The cocktails, while expensive, were some of the best cocktails I have ever tried in my life, and Tony was great. The selection of liquor they have is not your everyday big brands, but they have many small batch liquors that are unique and delicious. Momo the restaurant, while expensive (US prices) was worth the cost. It serves very high quality local ingredients with a modern flare.

Nothing! It was perfect!

Literally everything. Owners created oase of peace! You have everything to enjoy you stay to the fullest. Spa, big swimming pool, restaurant and cozy bar. Even with April temperatures the swimming pool was great. Size of the hotel/spa is perfect. It’s not too small and not to big, that’s why you will get private/romantic feeling. As the name says, nature&spa, there are a lot of birds. Fantastic! We had a room above restaurant, they where very big. Massages treatments were the best we ever had! All the stuff from house keeping to the restaurant service were very professional and helpful. They take time to help you with everything. Chit chat is also possible, that’s a very nice point. This place gave us a home feeling! Looking to book it again for next year.

Everything was exceptional

Amazing hotel!!! Very quiet, impeccable, clean property, linens and room smelled divine. We had very late check in but staff was so accommodating, smiling and respectful. I was observing some staff members from a side and they are flying around the property, everything on a timely manner. Breakfast was so delicious, they are making their own butter and jam from a local produce, freshly squeezed orange juice, delicious pastry. When we ordered an omelet, I heard it being whisked in a few minutes how fresh it was! Haven’t had a chance to try the sauna and spa but heard it is very good as well Hotel is relaxing, has 2 pools: indoor and outdoor, facing the ocean, birds are chirping, seagulls around you and cows mooing in a distance (no cow smell, don’t worry!). They have free parking, so you can drive around the island and relax at the end of the day at this beautiful hotel. Not far from airport. Highly recommended!

Our stay at SENSI Azores Nature and SPA was wonderful, despite the weather in early April! The rooms were a comfortable size and the private pool was heated (although a little cold for April). We enjoyed the indoor heated pool as well that wasn't super busy. The property was great, but the best part of this place was the staff. It was our first time traveling internationally with our 10 month old, and everyone, especially the dining staff were incredibly nice and accommodating.

This is a great spot for those wanting to get away from it all. It seems remotely located, and that is the point. It is quiet, beautiful and the room was lovely. The staff is great. The food was exceptional!
