Just minor things is that the water of pool was so cold

Very friendly and hospitable staff, clean room with minibar and balcony. Great environment and a great place to relax. It has a pool. Breakfast was good. I had a wonderful experience and moment when checking out. The lady who worked there was very hospitable and she gave me a souvenir (kinds of sweets) from Arouca at check out. It was a really good experience.

The apartment was big and with space for a 4 people family. Kitchen was equipped and clean. The swimming pool was ok. Location was calm and with large green areas.

Location is very close to Paiva walkway which was great for us, rooms are great, breakfast is great, pool is a really nice extra with all the hammocks around it, view is beautiful, and above all was the service we received from Sonia the receptionist. She did above and beyond to make us feel comfortable.

There could have been a hairdryer in the room (although I’m sure if I asked, I would’ve been provided with one).

The views were lovely although it was raining for the duration of our two night stay. The room was very spacious and being a converted farmhouse, had charm. Breakfast was good and staff were helpful. The traditional sweets from Arouca we were given on check out was a fantastic bonus!

Swimming pool was slightly cold but great for chilling out

Wonderful, hospitable & warm owners give great recommendations for things to do around the area. Great breakfast. Serene atmosphere in the middle of the forest but only 10min car ride to the quaint town of Arouca, with delicious meat restaurants (recommended by owners).

could hear the tv in the room next to mine, but that is not the hotels fault. Breakfast could be better, no white bread on site but still wonderful, had lots of fruit.

Restaurante was closed but that is acceptable given the recent covid restrictions. Anyway there are quite good restaurantes nearby.

We had an idea that there would not be any heating (as in many places in Portugal!), thus cold and dampness in the room didn't not surprise us much. What surprised us is the way of trying to heat up the room with air-conditioning which is nearly useless for this purpose. After a while blowing so-called 30 degrees, it didn't get any warmer in the room, and thus we asked for an electric radiator. We got it, and that solved the problem in the room. However, dampness in the bathroom persisted but luckily we left the hotel after two nights. Otherwise one would have had to ask to replace damp towels. Not sure if such hotels should be open during low season as they are not really equipped for this (in winter in the mountains it is rather fresh, if to compare it with Porto).

The breakfast was very good, the staff excellent, and the room with the fireplace and with a big screen tv, was the cherry on the top of the cake.
