United KingdomThe staff were often grouchy. The mini bar / tea coffee was never replenished properly. The daily cleaning was minimal. The cooked breakfast was flavourless, often dried out and lacked freshness. The spa was unavailable and we ended up being charged over double to use the adjacent sister hotel after also having been given the wrong price list.
The room was well equipped. The heated pool was nice.

United StatesProperty is old, needs updating, lumpy pillow, no unused plug sockets for charging phone, etc., blow dryer is stuck to the wall, you have to hold the on button down continuously for it to work, and the cord is short so it’s pretty hard to maneuver, they offer no toiletries like higher end hotels such as shower cap, cotton, q-tips, shower is small. For the price charged for our stay, I expected much more. Would not stay here again.

PortugalVery old and to expensive for this type of hotel Last time i stayed in savoy palace room 1550 it was great Savoy royal 2000 euro for 4 days in that’s hole is too much. 4 times i asked to fix my toilet , i think tons of water gone through my toilet , because they fixed it 3 days later ,at night time i had to turn on tv so I don’t hear noise of water all night . No normal food after 10 everything is closed . Didn’t offer me to change room , didn’t give me 1 hour late check out . Not using savoy ever again ! Savoy palace really was nice two months ago, this time my holiday was destroyed . Also fruit salad in glass first time today was out of date .

United KingdomThe hotel is dated but we knew that and it's not a problem. However, the ground floor suffers from terrible mould and damp issues, and you can tell that through the foul smell. Avoid booking the garden room, otherwise you might be put into the part where the smell is unbearable. We asked for our room to be changed, however the staff were awkward about it and kept saying that they are fully booked. Magically they did find a room, after the first one they offered had a leak in it and it seemed normal to them that we would accept it. Our stay was perfect after we were moved. They seem to have no issues on floors above ground, however you can still smell the damp once in a while, but nothing compares to the terrible ground floor. The restaurant choices are a bit poor, but the location is great so there are many things around.
The hotel was quiet, has plenty of amenities around to keep you entertained - 2 outdoor pools and 1 indoor pool + small gym. The breakfast was a buffet but it was one of its best things. The staff around the restaurants and bars are very polite. The room itself is big and has everything you need. The bed itself is excellent and extremely comfortable. We slept very well.

PortugalThe Hotel stages dinners/parties outdoors, by the swimming pools, in part for non-guests, accompanied by music that is clearly heard in the rooms, as well as everywhere else on the hotel grounds. The rooms are located very close to the swimming pools. One night the music went on till 23.30, then I rang the reception and it stopped shortly afterwards.
The very helpful staff and the good food in the restaurant. The easy access to the sea is also a positive point of this hotel.
