It's old, not dirty or anything but old.

Personel was helpful, even if there was issues with English. & we could get a parking space in center of Funchal for 5 euro only.

I didn't like the look of the shower, it was very basic. So I didn't use it. To be fair, everything about the room was basic but it was clean enough and we made ourselves comfortable enough too. So it was OK for a very cheap one night stay before catching the ferry.

We were three travellers on a tight budget so we had to find a suitably priced hotel for one night in Funchal. This hotel is easy to get to from the airport as there is an aerobus stop nearby (bus stop 4 Mercado). Funchal's numerous bars and restaurants are within easy walking distance so that was a positive. We had to catch the morning ferry so we didn't have time for breakfast but the hotel provided us with a packed breakfast/lunch each and also got us a taxi. The hotel receptionist was friendly and helpful and I was able to pay for the room using a contactless card. I felt safe and secure here.

The entrance to the front desk is the loading dock of the adjacent supermarket. It is dangerous for the uninitiated.

The staff was friendly. The general location was very good (walking distance to most of the town). The room and the hotel were clean. The breakfast was tasty (fresh bread, cheese, cereal, juice, tea, coffee) every morning.

No wi-fi in the room. In order to get at least some wi-fi (not really strong one) you have to stay close to the catering. All furniture inside is very old.

It's well located in the center, close to the sea, restaurants, cable-cars, bas stops. The hotel and rooms are well cleaned

There wasn't any wifi in the rooms, only on the 1st floor. If you wish to drink cold water, it wasn't cold at all and the knobs in the shower kept falling off xD nothing horrible, but still a somewhat negatice experience

The location was perfect, just in the centre of Funchal, close to everything. Although the choices for breakfast were small, for us it was enough since we don't need anything fancy. The staff was also very friendly and welcomed us warmly.

I was prepared for a horror based on some reviews here. However I have to say it was not so bad at all and for a short term accomodation it was sufficient (we stayed for two nights). Do not expect anything fancy, but it is ok for the price.

There were ants. Honestly didn’t bother me though considering it was £16 a night and everything else was good value.

Best location in the center. Big rooms - at night a bit noisy, but normal for the center - nevertheless we slept gorgious. Everything was very clean but bathroom could need an update (as a matter of fact the only deficit). Breakfast was much more than we've expected for this price! Good coffee/hot chocolate and additional fruits! Very nice and helpfull staff ♡

We booked a two bed-bedroom. When we arrived it was only a 140cm bed in the room. The reception was not interested in helping us and told us that's all they had. We only stayed for a single night. Do not recommend this place, you can find a lot better for the same price.

Upon arrival we were told our room has technical issues and that they need to move us into a different hotel (way outside the city centre). This wasnt discussed or emailed to us in advance. When we said we gonna cancel this booking suddenly we got a substitution room for the room with the tech issues. They havent even apologize for this. I would not recommend this.

Interior design has very nice vintage 70s features. Staff is very friendly. Location is in the center and very close to everything. Breakfast is nice.
