There is no breakfast available at the property but on the other hand we had use of the kitchen. We stayed at the weekend so we got breakfast at the market at the bottom of the hill, called Mercado de Santo Andre. We highly recommend this!

The room we booked was very spacious and had a lovely balcony and a very generously sized bathroom. The bathtub was great. Also enjoyed the two pools and the garden. The living rooms and kitchen were impressive but we didn’t get a chance to use them during our stay.

The plumbing needs updating..hot water was tepid and limited flow..pipes rattled. Bed needs a new mattress it sinks in the middle..and it was only a small traditional old fashioned double bed. Gentleman that greeted us was not the most welcoming in his demeanour..a smile wouldn’t have gone amiss.

Lovely traditional old style Portuguese house of grande proportions. Very well furnished in traditional style. Very clean immaculate linen very well presented. Shampoo & soaps provided. Kitchen facilities available, large lounge etc. lovely grounds and pool although we didn’t swim.

The mosquitos but that's probably not the easy to handle. The room was very warm too. Also no wifi in the room.

I really enjoyed the stay. 2 great pools with both a different vibe. Also a beautiful garden and nice terrace with a great view over the valley and on good days you can see the sea. The house has beautiful architecture that gave a classic old vibe with lots of nice colours and little hidden chill spots. I asked for new bathrobe because I spilled coffee on it and they gave me a new oen immediately.

Everything was great.

I stopped off here en route to the north. What a lovely find! I really liked the house, which was comfortable and spotlessly clean. An indoor and outdoor pool and a peaceful location. A great restaurant just a few yards away and cafe and grocery store about a 10 minute walk.

Nearby restaurants starts working late but it's a national feature of Portugal. If have any food, you can use the large kitchen.

The house preserves old-style furniture and decorations which adds some charm to your stay. The place is quiet, its garden is full of trees and flowers, with larger and lesser swimming pools, both in good condition.

the grounds sadly maintained and all the windows closed so the spectacular breezes didn’t freshen the interior spaces which in Portugal, is essential - with just a little bit of attention the grounds and interior would be back up to a 9.2 or higher - their current score is due to a lack of attention to very simple detail - such a shame - please add some plants , open the windows and shades and create Zen energy and take away anything that doesn’t lend itself to the style of the home

We were all by ourselves, or at least it felt like it. We came three hours earlier and they said that we’re too early, but there were no one else so it left me wondering why we were not able to get our room.

I loved the overall athmosphere of the building and the garden, very beautiful. Everything was very clean and lovely.

Wow, this place is so beautiful! The house has an amazing authentic decor while being very comfortable. The garden with many old trees is fantastic and there are two pools, including one inside kind of a greenhouse which is perfect for a swim in the morning when it is still chilly. We stayed in a suite that was large, had an amazing bathroom with bath and shower and a balcony with a breathtaking view. There is also a beautiful and well equipped kitchen. The location feels remote, but there is a nice restaurant 2 min walk away and a shop and bakery about 10 min away. A bus stops 100m from the house. The host was very nice and welcoming, we hope to be back for a longer stay!

Access to the property by car is down a narrow lane with tight turning. It was difficult to find at first, so maybe a couple of signs near the turn-off for main road would be useful. The property had no information folder with details of local facilities (although the process of discovery was quite fun). I feel it would be a help. Also, perhaps, with a bit of information on the history of the house/area.

A lovely room in a comfortable and traditional house, with good kitchen facilities. Beautiful gardens and a nice swimming pool. Perfectly located for local village, great beaches and well positioned for getting to Sintra, Cascais and on to Lisbon itself.

I loved all. But this place is better visit with a car.

My goal was to see Cabo da Roca, where you can go from Lisbon in one day, but after reading the reviews of this property, I decided to spend the night on the way. It was not easy to get here without a car, but it was worth it. Large house with a garden and a swimming pool and an old design. It is a pity that I spent only one day here, it could have been longer. Not a single restaurant was open, but in the neighboring village there is a small shop where I was able to buy groceries and cook dinner and breakfast for myself in a huge kitchen.

Gorgeous building and grounds. Generous sized double bedroom with en suite. Kitchen well equipped for doing your own cooking plus it has free tea and coffee. Close to bus stop and easy transfer to Sintra and Lisbon.

I am Russian and the hosts are Ukrainians moreover from Lviv but all is fine between us ! even during these hard times between our countries! the house is huge and very beautiful! it’s a villa with rooms very comfortable and cozy absolutely clean territory is gorgeous too , pool, garden, terrace where you can chill
