Everything was perfect, nothing to complain about.

Location and quinta is really beautiful and clean. We loved also breakfast. You can come to the kitchen to make tea whenever you want. There is AC in the room. Close to the city by walk but still seems like you are in the village. There is no reception so make sure you align the time with the host :)

The hosts are extremely friendly. The check-in is super smooth and fast. The breakfast was amazing and healthy for all tastes: (yogurt, seasonal fruits, croissants, ham, cheese, natural orange juice, etc... ). Every afternoon the host asked us to fill out a list in which we picked the content and the hour that we wanted to take the breakfast. Given that we stayed there during the summer, we chose to get it on the terrace where we enjoyed the morning sun and the amazing landscape (the terrace faces a beautiful vineyard). The hosts offer a lot of privacy and make you feel very comfortable. Everything is prepared with a special touch of discretion. Since we were there to disconnect from the stress of the city, we enjoyed a hot day by the pool, where the hosts had some cold beers to refresh. The unit where we stayed was super spacious, with lots of natural light, a clean and modern decoration, a very comfortable king-size bed, and a comfortable living room with an open kitchen towards the terrace. The unit offers very good wifi.

If you are looking for a calm and relaxing place to stay, I absolutely recommend this one. The room, all the house, swimming pool and property were beautiful. Imagine waking up in the middle of a vineyard - choosing view of the vineyards or Borba centrum down below, being served a breakfast with varieties chosen the evening before. Feeling the stress level going down to below zero. Also so friendly and sympathetic owners and service minded staff made us and our dog feel most welcome and at “home”

The room was really comfy, big, with a really nice decoration and very clean (as all of the house); Great shower head with options for increased water pressure - feels great on your back; Great breakfast which included local jams and pão alentejano + the location is very quiet and peaceful Additionally Carolina was a great host, always asking if we needed anything else and going above and beyond.

Carolina is a great host, she welcomed us with a smile and every morning she prepared the most delicious breakfast according to our preferences and even timing! The place is super relaxing and there's a common kitchen that can be used to prepare meals, but also some local restaurants nearby. We visited Evora, Monsaraz, Marvao and other small villages using Quinta do Barreiro as starting point! I surely recommend this place!!

Absolutely nothing!

Everything! The best place we stayed at during our 17 day trip through Portugal. It was amazing! The host Carolina looked after us perfectly, recommended and booked an authentic Portuguese restaurant in the area for us, made a fantastic breakfast every day and so on. We stayed in the Suite and were able to use the communal lounge and kitchen. Everything at Quinta do Barreiro is brand-new and in addition, there is a beautiful interior design. And they have a fantastic swimming pool! Borba is a quaint rural town in the Alentejo region and we used it as a base to visit some wine estates. Highly recommended!

Could have better blackouts for the windows, for me it was almost impossible to sleep after the sunrise as I forgot my blindfold.

The place was really quiet, allowed us for resting and recharge. We traveled with our dog, she was allowed to move freely inside de property and follow us to the breakfast and swimming pool. The room was quite large and modern. The access to the property is good and it’s only 10min by car to the highway. Breakfast was amazing, homemade with seasonal, local ingredients!

We loved everything (and just hope the prices won’t go up further ;))

This is a beautiful house. Everything is brand new and designed with great taste. We stayed in the suite, which consists of a bedroom and a large bathroom, but we also very much enjoyed the communal areas outside and inside. The breakfast is delicious, with homemade cake and fresh fruit, served on pretty Portuguese pottery. Carolina is an exceptional host, muito obrigada. The location is also very nice, in the middle of the wine/marble regions of Alentejo, with quiet and serene landscapes. To Borba, the next village, you can easily walk in 10 min. Évora is a 40 min drive away and has particularly nice restaurants (try Tua Madre and Hibrido). We will be back for sure!

If I really really have to nit-pick, I would point to the lack of kitchen rolls, no hand/face towel holder in the bathroom and the water drainage could be improved. Small things that in no way affected our stay.

Situated in the middle of calm a family farm, surrounded by vineyards, a few minutes away on foot from Borba, this is a great choice for a break from busy city life. The entire property is very clean, tastefully decorated in a minimalistic style, with comfortable and spacious rooms. They also welcome pets, except for the pool are of course, which is a huge plus. Watching our dog running around the fields in pure bliss was heart-warming. Be careful, however, that the gate is always open and there's an old deconditioned railway across the vineyard so adventurous dogs can get lost. The host Carolina goes above and beyond to provide the best stay possible. She even prepared a bath bench for the walk-in shower since I was temporarily of lower mobility. The breakfast, as many stated before, is simply superb - homemade and very tasty - with an option to eat privately. Don't miss out on the freshly made mini pancakes, cake or jams! We can choose what and when we want among a vast selection the day before, minimizing waste and potential food intolerance, which is great.

Beautiful property with an amazing view. The room was huge, super clean and quiet. The bed big and super comfortable. The staff kind and helpful and they prepared a delicious breakfast outside in the sun. I loved the shower as well! The pool is salt water and in the middle of nowhere. We loved it and will come back for sure! Thank you!

Carolina is an extremely nice host, we travelled with a baby and she provided a baby bed and even a baby towel. Breakfast is delicious, the surrounding is just beautiful and everything is very very clean. We had a wonderful time at this little gem! Will definitely come back!
