The noisy neighbour, which has nothing to do with the facility, just bad luck. The room a little small, and the sofa too big for the room, which meant you could only watch the tv from sitting on the bed. The beach view was there, but half obscured by two tower blocks, sadly. Tall people will struggle with sitting on the toilet due to the (too) large bathroom cabinet. Design could have been better

We like Alvor, and so location was good. The room was a lot smaller than expected, and the photos deceptive. It wasn’t a picture of the room we stayed in. Nevertheless, the general facilities, especially pool, and sauna, and staff were great!

Outdoor pool wasn’t heated so was freezing but we did visit in October so can’t really complain and we were lucky just to be able to use it at all this time of year

Staff on reception were incredibly friendly and helpful! Lovely view, waking up to a sunrise over the sea every morning was a delight!

The toilet seat was broken, there were flies around the apartment and there was only 1 restaurant in the close vicinity.

The beds are not good. Very hard/unforgiving. We did mention this and were advised that they are gradually being replaced. Not really good enough for a Pestana property.

Size of the apartment, including two bathrooms. Choice of two pools (indoor and outdoor pool, which was saltwater). Close location to the beach and boardwalk, easy walk into Alvor or with a bus stop outside for those who don't want to walk. Vania on Reception was very helpful with booking a day trip to see local points of interest. Having a small supermarket on site was also good. Breakfast is available in the nearby Dom Joao hotel and on the one day we had this it was excellent and good value for money.

No dishwasher, which we've had in less pricey apts. Pillows...again the pillows were less than satisfactory. But this has been the case in all apts & hotels where we've stayed in Alvor. I guess they are constantly washed, but it leaves them very lumpy!

Loved the location, the beach is close and the convenient supermarket right outside the front door.

We booked a studio with a balcony but got an apartment without a balcony. No outside seating area ,some improvements could be made there .

Unfortunately the sofa bed had not been made up and we arrived at 1am in the morning so had to phone reception to get the sheets. The receptionist was helpful regarding this and made the bed. It would have been nice if there was a hairdryer in the flat and three outdoor chairs or a sunlounger since there were theee of us. I noticed that both of our neighbours had sun loungers but we didn’t.

Location was superb near to beach and swimming pool and shop. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The apartment was a good size and the view was amazing. The flat was clean. Local Portuguese people were very welcoming. The pool and poolside was very clean.

The room service only cleaned the room once during the stay. When we requested for new towels, we were told to wait for a day. The room was smaller than i had hoped when booking.

Unfortunately there was no bar or restaurant but it was available at another nearby Pestana hotel. It was a little bit further out from the town than I would have liked but that was just my preference.

Excellent staff. Spotlessly clean. A room was provided for me on my day of departure to relax and shower as I wasn't being collected for the airport until 7pm. 24 hr reception which was very good

The pool areas were completly lacking any charme or atmosphere.

1 minute to the Beach. Friendly staff. Even garden view is very senic, at least from the 9th floor :) Spacious room and balcony. Despite of the unappealing outside look of the building quite nice inside. Kitchenette equiped sufficiently for simple meals and well equipped for breakfast. Filter coffee machine, toaster, 2 stove tops, fridge. Nice extra: Sauna and steam bath in the ground floor(not exactly a spa,fitting only 2-3 people each, but enough to nicely heat up). Pool towel service. Salt water outdoor and also an indoor pool - nothing too fancy, but nicevto have. Easy Parking, 3 minute drive to harbour/city center. Or a bit longer walk along the promenade.
