Bathroom in suite needs improving. Had a leak through the ceiling during heavy rain and no hot water, both dealt with but didn’t feel quite the standard expected for the price.

Beautiful furnishings and design, pool lovely, pleasant staff and real flowers in the room.

Everything was wonderful, but if I had to be picky, I would say that their tea needs improving and also bath mats could be provided in the bathrooms as the tub was slippery! But apart from that, we had a wonderful stay!

The staff were amazing - nothing was too much trouble! The breakfast was lovely, however, if I had one small issue, I would say their English Tea isn't the best!! But that was all really - everything else was spot on! The rooms were amazing, really spacious and clean however, this is not a hotel for people with severe mobility issues as it used to be a Palace which has since been converted into a hotel and there are lots of steps, and the floors are uneven due to the age of the building. This is NOT a criticism, just something to consider when booking the hotel. One suggestion I would ask the hotel for would be to provide bath mats as the bath was slippery. I didn't ask for one so they may already have these, in which case, that was my fault! As it is slightly away from the centre of Lisbon, the area is quiet which is what we wanted, however, there is a bus that goes directly to the centre from across the road, and the other direction goes to Belem, so all in all, the transport links were fab. The hotel, as a whole, was very upmarket and luxurious and different! I would definitely stay there again as it was such a lovely experience and the staff were wonderful. What a great find!!!

Need more staff as it was sometimes difficult to find someone for a beer around the pool or a drink in the evening and breakfast took some time to get coffee.

Good location and the most beautiful hotel wonderful room, the pool, the gardens it’s a very special place. Staff are lovely but the service at breakfast and at the bar was slow it seemed they needed more staff. Breakfast was great good choice and lovely food.

Just know there are a lot of stairs - worth it though! And the staff is wonderful and helps with luggage.

A gorgeous heritage property full of old tiles and courtyards and plants and character. The pool was lovely and the breakfasts were outstanding! We loved our three nights at this heritage property. Highly recommend!

The room we stayed in spelt musty like there was a presence of mold but we were able to open the windows and air it out which helped. We understand it is a very old building. The hotel was absolutely beautiful and we loved the amenities the incredibly hospitality staff, overall it was a fantastic experience

Getting service was not quite as easy as it maybe should be at a four star hotel. Basically you either have to whatsapp them (never did) or find them inside (we spent most of our time at the pool)

I think the breakfast was mid / ok. I had a omelette that was not very good the first day and i ordered pancakes the other day. I got one little pancake(!) My girlfriend enjoyed the breakfast more than me. She had normal continental breakfast both days.

Lack of employees! Understaffed Big time. No Night Shift. Getting our table ready for breakfast was complicated. My email and request were not answered. The only employee available in the morning was trying to do his best but not enough considering the number of guest.

The location is slightly removed from the old town and shopping but the advantage was we found wonderful authentic places to eat nearby.

An outstanding five-star experience thanks to the beautiful building and exceptional staff. We were enchanted by this lovely place and could not fault the staff who were friendly and attentive. The breakfast was just incredible with so many fresh and interesting options. Many beautiful terraces to enjoy, gently lit by fairy lights in the evening.
