Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The breakfast was fine and the location convenient to the metro. For the higher price I had hope for tea and coffee service.My real complaint is the taking payment 4 months before arrival and the $50 deposit for any room costs was actually taken off my card, not just a simple imprintggh.

BulgariaThe only downside was the small balcony hadn't been cleaned and there were 2 cigarette butt's that were there, and no chairs to sit on, although as it was the back of the hotel no view.
All the reception staff were really lovely, friendly and helpful. When we checked in the room we were allocated was really hot and still hadn't cooled after 3 hours, the WiFi signal wasn't very strong and as we were at the front of the hotel, it was too noisy from the street to have the window open. I went to reception and I was shown 3 other rooms to choose from. We were moved within 10 minutes, to the ground floor at the back of the hotel, excellent WiFi signal and a slightly bigger room. It is a 5 minute walk to the nearest metro station, there are restaurants around and small grocery shops. The room was cleaned and the beds remade and fresh towels and toiletries.

We liked the neighborhood. A lot of very good restaurants. Very nice bed. We slept like babies. WiFi is not the best. Nice shower and everyday perfect cleaning. Breakfast was very varied and nice. We also liked the good atmosphere in the hotel. We definitely will be back when we come back to Lisbon
