We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

AustraliaWe were allocated a 7am slot for breakfast without any choice or discussion, and reception staff couldn't amend it. This was difficult for us with our young baby who is up during the night. Also, the coffee at breakfast was terrible- it must have been instant coffee! So we ended up having to go out for breakfast to find edible coffee anyway.

United KingdomThe bathroom lacks privacy as it was only a glass wall. I love my partner but this is too close for us. The plumbing could do with cleaning as the shower flooded into the room because the drain would no clear quickly enough.
The room was very modern and spacious. Coffee available in the room. Staff helped us book a taxi.

Good selection at breakfast with plenty of fresh options available also located close to fantastic local restaurants and only a five minute taxi into Funchal. United KingdomThe food was VERY BAD, the scrambled eggs for breakfast were green, obviously they were leftovers from the previous day. The only possible food is fruit. Food not replenished often enough. Lunches in the form of a menu card, the soup is the same every day, everything is heated in a microwave. When fully booked, there were 5 people at dinner. The waiters served the tables very poorly. At check in, they tried to give me a room of a lower standard than I booked. I've never seen a bartender at a bar. I compare it with another hotel because I stayed in two different hotels during my holiday and it is also more like a hostel. If someone just wants to spend the night, it's ok.

United KingdomWe have arrived at the hotel to be told we would not get rooms we have booked 6 months prior and that we would have to stay in a different hotel. The other hotel was not 4 star at all - very dated and cleanliness was not there. When finally booked here 3 nights later we have been upgraded to a suite and have been offered complimentary dinner after we have actually asked for it… reception area is lovely, nice and clean but the rest of the hotel definitely needs some refurbishment to bring it up to date. Carpets in corridors are dirty, definitely needs some improvement
