Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Czech RepublicThe Laukamao Praia Da Rocha apartment is located approx 7 minutes walk from the Rocha beach. It is in huge condominium of apartments, so I was first a bit afraid that it will be noisy. But the apartment itself is very quiet, the windows perfectly isolate any outside noise. It is very nicely decorated so we felt immediately at home. There was enough parking spaces around, but we were there outside of the tourist season. There is a small store in the building and plenty restaurants around. The apartment has everything you might need for your stay - kitchen, lot of towels, washing machine, dishwasher and tablets, TV with netflix ... Morning after we arrived we found out that the coffee machine is broken. The host replaced the machine in 2 hours for a brand new one! Communication with the host was very friendly, fast and helpful. The pool was not operating, but it was stated in booking description and the host offered us some alternatives. We didn't use them, as it was October and we preferred beach. There was a construction in progress close to the building but when we closed the windows we couldn't hear anything. PS: don't forget to get mosquito repellent plug in. we forgot and regretted it :)

PolandCoffee pot could be included in the kitchen equipment. Cutting boards need to be replaced, there were dirty and used. The TV in the living room has awful sounding audio, but it's a flaw of the model.
The place was great and cozy. It has a lot of space, so even with 3, 4 guests you can feel comfy. All apartment is furnitured at the high level of quality. The kitchen is well equipped, the washing machine and dishwasher are the huge plus. The host is very friendly and communicative person. He did answer very quickly, in addition there wasn't a problem with communicating in english. All things you need are nearby: restaurants, markets, swimming pool, car rental office, breakfast bars, you name it. A free parking can be found within easy reach. I recommend this place with all my heart. It was one of the best place I rented in Booking ever.

BelgiumThere was a construction in the inside garden where is a pool and it was a bit disturbing. Also if people or kids scream in the corridor of the main building it can wake you up. I read previous comments and took ear plugs with me and it was convenient.
Sylvain is an amazing host! Apartment is very cozy and close to the beach. Our flight was changed and we checked in much earlier and Sylvain could arrange that we check in in a comfortable time. It was so nice of him! Apartment is very nice and fully equipped, there was even blender and a beach bag :) (small details make difference). We had good luck with weather (24-25 at the 2nd week of May) though ocean remains very cold most part of the year. Bad (mattress) is also very comfortable. i enjoyed 1 week staying there :) I would recommend it. At this time of the year it was also perfect - just before the season, there were not many people on the beach. beach is so beautiful and clean. No people on sunrises at 6, it was really cool to catch these moments too.

NorwayVery nice apartment, you will have everything you need: washing masking, balcony, kitchen. Don’t need to take a lot of stuff with you, you can wash it and dry your clothes on the balcony. The apartment is very comfortable. We traveled with 2 small kids and it was very comfortable, could wash their clothes and dry it on the balcony. And we could stay on the balcony when children slept on the day time. The property is close to the very beautiful beach. Close to the supermarket. The owners are very nice and helpful. We were allowed to stay till 15 pm the day we check out, without paying anything extra, so our travel back home was easier too. Good WiFi.
