Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GreeceAlthough the hotel exceeded my expectations in all regards, even though during check out in the morning I had arranged for a 12:45 drop off at the train station, I arrived earlier at 12:10 and just that time the hotel car was leaving to take another customer to the airport and I was told it would take about an hour to come back. It was clear that my train would leave 13:37 so there would not be enough time. The lady in reception gave the excuse that this customer said he was late for his flight.... but i was there earlier. So I took an Uber for €6, I was at the station in 10 min , and even got the 12:37 train to Lisbon. However it was a clear bad planning and not considerable to the guest.
More than a typical hotel, more like boutique. All details carefully considered, super clean with exotic designs. Location also vary good if you enjoy walking, a leisurely downhill 20 min stroll downtown but a metro station also around the corner. Lots to see in between and it's on a lively area as well.

We picked this hotel as we were driving and they have secure parking included in the price. If you are flying into Porto they provide a free airport shuttle service. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel really special. Welcome drink and pastel de nata and then we had a free city tour in the hotel Tesla. We were given a lift to the city for dinner and again in the morning to start our sightseeing. The hotel staff are exceptional and went out of their way to be helpful.

The staff tried so hard to make sure you were taken care of and so friendly from the maids cleaning the room to the front desk, every time I came in or out of the hotel always a smile and a welcome! Even the driver (who did not speak much English) who picked me up and dropped me off from the airport remembered my name!
I really loved sitting by the window having my coffee and breakfast & watching people go about their business! So delightful! The girls served me like I was a princess and so friendly! I enjoyed the variety of food as well a little something for everyone!

United KingdomWhen I saw the pictures framed in gold I didn’t like the look of the hotel. I thought it might be cheap and plasticky. I’ve stayed in expensive hotels by the Douro, Sintra, Costello Branco, Bragança. In reality, I love this hotel. The bar and reception is tasteful, the room is very well thought out, the bed sheets have a high cotton count (very soft) the pillows are high quality and the bed the best in Portugal. I arrived late and was directed to Barrigas Porto-Antas a local restaurant, friendly, warm and amazing food. It’s not high quality to look at but the food is. I am looking forward to my next stay here.

Immaculate hotel. On arrival the staff at reception were so friendly and made us feel at home. The beautiful decor throughout is outstanding! Further to this we were offered a lovely welcome drink at the amazing bar with the lovely host Luis. Our room was fabulous with an amazing comfortable bed and pillows also facilities for tea and coffee. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant the staff were so attentive and such good value. To top it off we were driven to the airport on our departure - courtesy of the hotel! In a fabulous Jaguar- wonderful touch. We felt such VIP treatment thank you Marta and Vito Thank you Hotel Jaguar we will be back 😊
