Everything. Beautiful view, jacuzzi, and all the nice environment, suuroundings etc. On top of that the owner Filip was so openminded, nice guy with practical information we needed and used. He also booked for us the nice restaurant for our dinner. Thanks a lot. We do reccomend this accomodation for our friends.

If you are visiting the Douro, you need to stay at this beautiful guest house. The views from the property are out of this world. The owners, Ines and Filipe, go out of their way to accommodate their guests, and their kind hospitality is what makes this place special. We would definitelyyyy choose to stay here again!

We loved everything

Everything was perfect. The view was breathtaking and the manager Ines, went out of her way to make us feel very welcome. She even made fresh scones every day for us. Their wines were the best. We also enjoyed the beautiful view from the jacuzzi.

The whole experience was fabulous on arrival the hosts Eliza and Ines were very warming and charming people, Everything was polite helpful and what an amazing place, The views were spectacular over the river and it was so peaceful we wished we had booked longer to discover this region of Portugal, room excellent, breakfast excellent ,and the home made cakes to die for would love to go back and spend more time relaxing there with a glass of wine and takig in the unforgettable views,

The view is amazing, the hosts are very welcoming and nice. In addition, the pool, jacuzzi and chill area are an amazing addition. And of course, Mia (the cat) was a wonderful companion as well.

Would have loved to have hired a car as would be more accessible to get to more places however Fillip and Ines were fantastic organising their Taxi driver (Vitor) and helping us navigate!

The breakfast was lovely, the facilities were fantastic and that view 🤩🤩 Fillip and Ines were amazing hosts!!

The host was so friendly and greeted us with a glass of wine! The bed was super comfortable and the breakfast filling and fresh. The beautiful cat made it even more lovely! The swimming pool is a beautiful area and lovely to watch the sunrise from.

This hotel was a top highlight of our trip to Portugal. The pictures don't do this view justice; it is fantastic. Our host was amazing and treated us like family. The room had an exceptional view, and the hot tub, pool, and lounge area were amazing. I was so sad to leave! Also, originally, I thought that this was not in as central of a location in the Douro Valley. After having visited, I think that the location is one of the best in the valley and possibly the best view in the Douro Valley.

We sincerely cannot find any faults only that we should had stayed for a second night.

We loved everything about the property. From the moment we stepped away from the car and seeing Filip walking out of the house welcoming us to his home with a warm smile. First time this happened to us in our 4 months of travelling through Europe and Morocco using hotels and Airbnbs. Such a nice feeling of true hospitality compare to the many un personal “lock box” properties we encountered in our travels. To have this kind of hotel hospitality is something Airbnb will never achieve. Filip helped us with our bags and invited us to his lobby where we were treated to a glass of smooth port produced by his neighbour. The high mountain side location of the property is fantastic. It offers a 180 degrees view down on the Douro Valley with superb sunrises and sunsets. We could see the river cruises flowing down the river. The rooms were sparkling clean and the breakfast offered was mostly from the local food producers. On top of all this Filip succeeded in getting us a restaurent reservation despite our late arrival.

We couldn’t find one.

Everything, unique and never to be forgotten. Look’s over the river of Douro endless wineries and historical properties on top of great sunsets 🌆. Our Host exhumed confidence and pride in the Family’s property which immediately gave us a sense of comfort. He was a very special man.

Out of all of the places we stayed in Portugal (we toured the entire country) Imaginario D’El Rei was our favorite! Philip was very hospitable and went out of his way to make sure all of our needs were met. He helped us learn more about the culture and drove us to a local restaurant, Convívio, in Mesão Frio, where we experienced Northern Portugese food at its finest! The views were spectacular. We enjoyed the hammocks overlooking Douro Valley, hot tub, infinity pool, and delicious breakfast buffet. The suite was immaculately clean and the bed very comfortable. The sunrise was spectacular. The location is very convenient as it only took a few minutes to drive into Pinhao for a river cruise or to visit a local vineyard. We did not want to leave as the experience was one of a kind and we truly felt at home. When we visit Portugal again, we will be staying here!

I can't think of a thing they can do to improve this place.

The view was breathtaking, the pool was beautiful, although we didn't use it because it wasn't warm enough. We did use the jacuzzi. But the host, Filipe, was the best. He truly made us feel as though we were guests in his home. They call it a guest house and it truly is a guest house. On first arriving, we felt we had mistakenly pulled up to a private residence. It is a common misconception, and something they aim for. Filipe gave us recommendations for dinner, and even recommended places to visit and eat in Porto which we took advantage of and were truly blown away by the experiences. We also enjoyed the beautiful breakfast they put on. I only wish we had booked a longer stay here.

The hosts were so kind and helpful. We left a bag behind and they managed to get it to us in Porto which was incredibly nice of them. The location was just beautiful, with absolutely stunning views. Very highly recommend!

Incredible view of the Doruo River. Enjoyed sitting on the balcony and taking in the surroundings. Very peaceful. Great breakfast too. And loved the hot tub experience, again with an amazing view.

Everyhing was perfect. The hosts were very welcoming, the atmosphere at the hotel is very cozy, feels like home. The facilities were also great - the pool and jacuzzi were very nice even in the colder season (we were here in March). Very nice and filling breakfast - toast, eggs, hams, cheeses, yoghurt, fruit, freshly baked scones and pies etc… The room is minimalistic, with stylish furniture, all you need. Overall feel at the hotel is that a lot of thought and heart went into it. The location is beautiful - amazing views from the room as well as beautiful nature and attractions nearby.

The only thing i can point less positive is that in the pictures i saw a jacuzzi, i couldn't find it.. Maybe is just on the summer? To be fair i didn't ask, since it was very cold...

Everything was really good! Shame that it was too cold to experience the magnificent swimming pool.
