In new year’s eve my partner was super sick, so he ordered room service and it was denied. Nobody informed us that room service wasn’t working on that night. The possibility to eat in the hotel was pay 100€ to have dinner in the restaurant. I contacted the hotel and explained the situation, but they just apologised.

Decor needs a bit of updating.

Everything was clean and I really liked the firm mattresses on the beds! The food was lovely. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Great location.

The swimming pool closed at 8pm, should be open until at least 10pm The matresses on the beds will decent were hard and not easy to sleep on.

Guests expect to be able to prepare while in their room a cup of hot tea or coffee. None of those is possible, as the room was not equipped with electric kettle , cups etc.

The bathrooms are quite old fashioned and could do with a revamp. The bed is rock hard. The plugs alongside the beds don't work. The air con seems quite old and as a result I didn't think was very effective. Our room was situated on the ground floor right beside the entrance and as a result we could hear the main door into the block banging every few minutes from early morning.

• The amenities are great with a lovely outdoor poor, indoor pool and gym and the view of Pico is amazing • The rooms are spacious with a large bed • We had the buffet dinner one evening and there was a good variety.. some of the food was quite overdone but this could be as a result of sitting in the baymarie. All of our party got something they liked so we were happy. However, we had drinks with the meal and for the overall price I didn't feel it was worth it. • The breakfast was decent with a good variety of breads, fruit, yogurts, pastries and some hot food • The staff are very friendly and helpful

The room was a bit dated. The powersockets and light switches made no sense to us.

The staff is very friendly, hardworking and helpful. The restaurant has good food. The buffet had plenty of choices and was refilled on time. The swimming pool and Restaurant have a magnificent view of the pico volcano.

The view from this hotel of Mt Pico is unmatched, especially from the beautiful infinity pool. The hotels breakfast was delicious and had so many options! The hotel was in a great location for walking to downtown Horta.

The hotel is a resort composed of a main building and small buildings. We stayed in the main building, our room was good, with a small balcony. The location is perfect, it is on a small hill right on top of Horta main street, you can easily walk down and in 2 minutes you are on the main street. The swimming pool and the restaurant have an amazing view over Pico island and the volcano. We had dinner in the restaurant with that view, but also the food was really good. Definitely recommended to have dinner there.

The hotel is in a strategic position at Horta. Highlight of the structure is the swimming pool with a panoramic view on Pico volcano, very nice during sunrise and Sunset. Everything in the hotel works well, especially the rich and diversified breakfast.

rooms need to be updated. we stayed in two diff rooms given reservation. one of them is old and the patio is not well maintained. wouldn’t stay there again.

I have to say that the ratio of price/quality is not good. the room needs to be updated. it’s just ok, wouldn’t stay there again. the breakfast is very good. the staff is nice, not super friendly.
