Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TaiwanI absolutely adored this place and how they manage this place. I didn't see any staff in person during my staying, but they designed their space in a very user-centered way, I really can enjoy the place by my own like Im at home. They also provided everything, so it's really satisfated for me in everything.

Before my arrival I received detailed and very helpful information about the doors and the key. The whole place is decorated with so much love. My room was spacious with in-room bathroom. Shared and fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, washing machine etc. Shared dining/living room and a small balcony where you can enjoy a cup of coffee. The location is awesome! In the middle of the pedestrian street, surrounded by restaurants and shops.

BulgariaI was disappointed with the location of the toilette and the bathroom - private, on the same floor but outside the room (this was something I have not paid attention to in the description, if disclosed). Additionally, every time I was struggling with the locker of the front door.
The place has a great location - in the center, munutes away from any places of interest in the town and very close to perfect restaurants. There is a convenient parking at about 3-minute walk and possibility to park on the street for the night. The interior was very well decorated to reflect the thematically reflect the name of the room - Pocelain.

United KingdomThe only thing I didn't like were the door locks that required doors to be slammed in order to close
The room was beautifully decorated, there was a sink in the room, also an air-con which was a life saver with the heat outside. The staff was extremely friendly, spoke English which is always appreciated with my level of Portuguese. The bathroom was outside but that's what I booked so no complaints. There is a nice well equipped kitchen, living room with games and a cute common balcony

Czech RepublicAlice in Wonderland room: room with terrace means attic room with a roof terrace. I am not very tall compared to my partner, but even I kept hitting my head :), this is just a heads up for the tall people, not a negative comment. No space to put stuff, shelves or closet- this would be an issue in case of a long stay. The bath curtains- looks lovely, but since the shower is fixed to the top, any movement results in the curtains sticking to the body and without them, the carpet and wooden floors would get wet. I’d recommend to make the shower head flexible instead or screwed to the top and considering a different curtain construction. Other than that, it was all nice and fun with nice decor.
Location-city center, walking distance to everywhere ,great bars and restaurants everywhere, roof view, the self service and quiet inside( only once saw two cleaning ladies, otherwise no one), cleanliness, theme and decor. A lot of stairs, but that was fine for us.

CanadaThe beds weren't very comfortable. And there really wasn't much room to open your bag or look through your things. The private bathroom isn't connected to your rooms so just be prepared for that.
Great location in the heart of the old city. There is a kitchen and a fantastic view from the balcony.

RussiaIt's a small, cozy hotel in the historic center of the city. We stayed only one night, but I'd happily live there for a few days. The atmosphere is really like in a collector's home.

AustraliaNothing we didn’t like - but we did bump our heads on the low ceilings!
We loved our room with the rooftop terrace, listening to church bells and the swifts, and admiring the views. The place has character and is well-maintained. Definitely ‘no pais das maravilhas’ - in wonderland.

PortugalOh my, the flights of stairs to climb!!! Got a lot of additional exercise - good for heart health! 😁
Loved that our dog Stella was welcome! ❣️🙏 We enjoyed our suite - with balcony, bathroom, a clothesline outside one of our windows, the comfy bed… etc; warm welcome / sense of hospitality & responsiveness of host - all good! Appreciated the shared space - kitchen & washing machine - so nice to be able to use! The place is funky and it works well! ❣️Also, fabulous location! We liked that it was near (1/2 block away), but not on the very busy pedestrian walkway - full of commerce, restaurants, cafes, nighttime activities. Even 1/2 block off the busy street made a difference in terms of calm & quieter.

NetherlandsAs I have to say something.. there was some building going on, but that's just temporarily. Also, the girls don't cook fresh eggs in the morning after you snip your fingers. Nor do they bring you bruschetta with salmon and olives... could have been a lifesaver when hungover.
Great hosts, we like the two girls. They are nice & do their absolute best to make you feel at home. Gave us good tips as well. Living room is a great place to get drunk before hitting the city. Excellent excellent. Also really nice if you're biking!

United StatesThis place is so charming! I was in the Robinson Crusoe room, and I absolutely loved it! It is at the top in an attic-like space so only appropriate for a smaller to average sized person. Perfect for me! There was a sunlight that kept it feeling open. If I come to Braga again, this is where I’ll stay.

United StatesCatarina was amazing! She made my stay really special because she is so friendly and helpful. The location was fantastic and I was able to walk to most of the main attractions very easily. The room was charming and comfortable and it was no problem going to the private bathroom outside the room. Catarina helped me with my carry-on bag because stairs are difficult for me these days. I highly recommend staying here as the other rooms are lovely too, with each one having a special theme.

BulgariaThe location is in the heart of Braga's old city, 10 minutes walk from bus and train station. The staff is nice, you can always contact them if you have any questions. Catarina is also a great person to talk with on different topics. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. It is quiet in the evenings, just great for a nice sleep after a long walking day. KosovoCan't imagine a more convenient location in Braga to see all the sights in the historical zone. One of the nicest and friendliest guesthouse managers we've ever met, Catarina went out of her way to make sure to help us find great restaurants during a busy national holiday. The location is awesome, super central and easy to reach. The place feels safe, comfortable, and cozy just like visiting an old friend! Catarina and Joana were absolutely wonderful, and in particular I was taken great care of! There is a common area featuring a kitchen with everything you need to make your own meals. The rooms are decorated thoughtfully and with good taste.
