We started noticing and unpleasant odor in the bathroom (from the pipes?) around our second day. We didn't bring it up as we only had one more day and though it was just temporary and would go away, however it got worse - hopefully just an issue for the one time.

We had a great stay in Ponta Delgada! The location is super accessible to nearby downtown but is quiet given it's proximity to numerous restaurants and bars. The beds were comfortable and the place was well stocked.

This is such a great place. We only stayed for our last night but would have based ourselves there for the whole holiday if we'd known how great the location is, how friendly the owner and how very comfortable the space is. Highly recommended!!

stairs could have better lighting. some areas of bathroom could be cleaner--significant rust /water stains on walls under one vent, for example.

Very good location in a quiet street in a free parking zone. There was a fridge and micro and tea/coffee water bottle in the room. The 1-person bed was very cozy and the bedsheets were amazing! I loved the family pictures and reliks and the old fashioned furniture.

AFONSO, the owner of this central family guesthouse in Ponta Delgada is really a lovely and friendly man, he did all for that I feel well and comfortable 😀 I had the complet last third floor only for myself. My room was a very bright attic cut room with a view of the city rooftops and even a little of the sea .... perfect to feeling inspired to meditate or cocoon in the evening while watching a movie on Netflix in the comfortable bed, with a perfect connection to the home wifi 😘 Thank you Afonso !

No bathroom in my suite, had to go down two sets of stairs, some of the others rooms have in suite bathrooms however, so just check.

The host was very kind and was accommodating g when my flight came in after midnight. The location was very close to the ocean and very central to grocery stores, shops and restaurants. Also, loved the balcony.

Lovely guest house with everything I needed and more! The host and his family were very friendly and gracious. Bed was super comfy and the room as well as the shared bathroom was spotless. I really enjoyed the balcony and quiet surroundings. Only a couple rooms in the house that were not all full at the time. The location is perfect just a short stroll down to the beach with plenty of things to see and do nearby. I would recommend this place to anyone!

The mattress was a bit uncomfortable

Fantastic place. I stayed in the single top floor room, good size and you have a private large toilet/sink across the hallway (bathroom is downstairs). Fridge and kettle in the room. Friendly helpful hosts, I was able to leave my bag after check-out. Ideal location close to harbour and the town centre.

Fatima and Afonso were super nice. - The little balcony is very sweet. - The location is perfect to see the city - or to discover the whole Island by Scooter or car.

Cozy room, very clean and with small details of care that made my stay more comfortable. Location is perfect, 5 minutes by foot from the center and from the diving center. Very close also to the mercato general and to small cafes and restaurants.

I have no suggestions for any improvements at all; everything exceeded my expectations. The place is quite centrally located, -some might be sensitive to noise from the streets, - this didn't bother me at all.

I had expected to get a room only with private bathroom, and got a large, spacious room with a desk and chair (perfect for some work), and a separate cozy kitchenette with a tiny table and 2 chairs. The host was incredibly welcoming! The room called "Hortensia" was beautifully decorated in coordinated colors by the host's wife Fátima with high attention to details.

I enjoyed my time at city’s heart guesthouse. My room was very bright, I had my own bathroom, a kitchen with all the necessary facilities. The owners are very nice and helpful. The guesthouse is very well located, close to the city centre and bus stops.
