The humidity (but that is down to the climate in that part of the world), so it has nothing to do with the apartment.

Clean and comfortable with great attention to customer satisfaction. Kitchen was very well equipped with all utensils and even some basic foodstuffs were available, which was very convenient after a long travel and not having had the opportunity to do any shopping yet. Even some fresh soup was waiting for us when we came in. The owner takes customer care to a higher level. Easy to park the car inside the premises. Large supermarket nearby with ample parking. Nice terrace (with hammock) to sit outside if weather conditions allow. Central location: the capital, and the most important attractions can be reached by car in a very reasonable time.

Had a great time, the house is very comfortable, has everything you need. The garden is gorgeous, perfect place to relax. Location is also very good, easy to get to all important points on the island. Maria is an incredible host, communication was easy and clear and she welcomed us with an amazing surprise as we were on our honeymoon (home made food, cake and drinks). Totally recommend it!

nothing at all. just bear in mind that you need a car

it really felt like you are staying at home. I was able to find there just everything that I might need. amazing view, comfortable, clean house. there were soup and a pie upon our arrival, which gave us feeling that we were very welcome. Maria is the best host I have ever met during my constant traveling last 15 years! there are tea, coffee, spices, oil, oat, rice, fresh eggs and other stuff to be able to cook breakfast, all needed kitchen equipment, shampoo and etc. this place is highly recommended and I will definitely come back!

The house was great. It wasn't really easy to find good places to eat & buy food in Vila Franca Do Campo, but the host's recommendations about places in other towns were very good & helpful. We had a car so this was fine, it wouldn't be possible without this.

Maria was a great host, we were given a warm welcome and we were very happy with the facilities, cleanliness & comfort of the house. Beautiful garden and outdoor space, & great, well equipped house, very relaxing.

Everything was great - the only small thing I'd mention is that for very tall people (men) the beds are slightly on the small side. This doesn't matter to the average person but it would just be worth bearing in mind if you're very tall!

The house was absolutely lovely - large rooms, super clean, two lovely large bathrooms beautifully supplied with everything you could want (specially the kitchen) and the most wonderful host (Maria) who is there to help you whenever you need it. The Azoreans are lovely people and Maria is no exception - she went above and beyond to make us feel at home (delicious soup on the hob on arrival, a nicely stocked fridge, biscuits, even Easter eggs as we arrived on Easter Sunday). If we had any issues, she would come straight away to help, even bringing us farm-fresh eggs and milk. Thank you Maria, you're the most amazing host ever! The location of the house is also great, with a perfect vantage point over the beautiful Vila Franca Islet. The house is not in the heart of the town so a car is helpful (although getting into town is perfectly walkable - we were just with two older people for whom it was a bit too far) Most people hire cars anyway in São Miguel so it's not a problem to drive.

It was a wonderful stay! The apartment has everything you need, Maria ist very nice, we enjoyed her chocolate cake and the food in the fridge for a perfect start in the morning!

Casa da Quinta was paradise! It had amazing ocean views and an incredible outdoor garden/patio. I've stayed on this island many times before and Casa da Quinta is by far the best accommodation my family has experienced. Maria is an amazing host who ensured everything was in place for us. We arrived to a very welcoming and clean home that was fully stocked with fresh bread, wine, eggs, home made soup and much more. Everything you need to cook up any kind of meal is available in the kitchen. Maria checked on us everyday to ensure we had everything for our comfort needs. We will book Casa da Quinta again on our next trip to Sao Miguel. Thank you Maria!

A bit far from other places, not, much to do in the area around, but if you have a car no problem. Neighbours close to Maria's house shouting daily... A pool would be a cherry on the cake.

The hospitality of Maria is unmatchable. I travel quite often, stayed at many places run by private owners. Never before I have experienced a place like this, having all & much more what you would possibly need during your stay. At my arrival, Maria surprised me with a fresh delicious homemade veggie soup. There were a homemade cake, buicuits & sweets, jam & local honey, local fruits, bread, drinks, more food in the fridge & shelves to use for my breakfast/lunch/dinner. Nowhere else seen such a care for a visitor. Not to name the every thing you would imagine at a proper home. Fully-stocked & peaceful (except the neighbours further...) The place was clean & very stylish with lovely little details. A big terrace to use for myself, private from other visitors,l. A wonderful shared exotic garden with the sunbeds, hamock, only the pool missing... view of the ocean & the litlle island. The supermarket 15 min by walk. I found a beautiful beach 25 min by walk. The property must be located somewhere in the middle of the town I guess, but not a very central place of Sao Miquel. To go around/ to any places, make sure to have a car. If you like this place, don't second guess, you will love staying there!

Maria was the most welcoming host ever! She made soup and cake for us when we arrived. There was also fresh fruit and other food waiting. We had a whole little house for us alone. Including kitchen, bbq, garden, washing machine… we could take towels to use on our daytrips. On our last day in the afternoon, as we allready checked out, Maria let us use her own bathroom as we returned from the beach and prepared for the airport. She made our stay just perfect!
