One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at! It was very clean and beds were comfortable with plenty of space in the room. Located very close to the town, bus station and train station. The team of staff were very lovely and I felt very welcomed. Pancakes were exceptional! Would definitely stay again.

We came twice, and both times were great. The staff is really nice, friendly and attentive. The place is quiet but also allows you to connect with other travelers. I highly recommend and will come back with no doubts. Thanks a lot

Everything was great, the only comment I have is that I wanted to blow-dry my hair in the bathroom, but there was no socket for a hairdryer. However, there was a socket in the bathroom downstairs where I could dry my hair. This is the only detail.

My stay at the hostel was very good. As soon as I arrived, I was given a tour and offered a drink. Before I took this trip, I was a bit nervous about traveling alone, but this hostel gave me a completely different perspective. The people staying there are brought together in a very family-like atmosphere.

I don’t know what was better, the pancakes, the look and feel of the hostel or the people that work there! Felt like I had breakfast with a family that I already know. So welcoming and a good location to visit the centre or to head to Faro airport

Can be a little noisey from the street at times but at least it's not traffic noise as it's tucked away! Dorm sharing not ideal if you want Privacy or are a light sleeper.

Friendly welcoming staff, very professional and dedicated. They have created a homely feel with the decor, seating and general ambiance. Social spaces are superb especially open rooftop which has hammocks and seating. Location is great, central for buses trains marina and old the town.

For a hostel I feel they could have more toilets, altogether there was only 4 in the whole building, 1 bathroom per floor, did mean waiting for others at peak times

The rooftop with the hammocks was really chilled. I enjoyed the sunset walks and the drinks during happy hour are only 1 euro. Staff are very friendly

I had an amazing stay at Casa da Madalena Backpackers Hostel. The staff are downright amazing people, always willing to help you out. The environment was so welcoming and I met some awesome people.

The hostel is beautiful. It is a beautiful old building with welcoming reception and social area, peaceful and clean rooms, fabulous roof terrace and clean bathrooms. The welcome from the team and care throughout was genuine and heartfelt.

Nothing not to like

Everything a hostel should be. Friendly staff, clean rooms, chilled vibe and fabulous breakfast. It's even in a great location a few minutes from the marina, bus & railway station. Nice mix of guests from a wide range of nationalities and ages too so didnt feel out of place being a more mature hostel user.

Absolutely wonderful. Clean, great location, and the staff was amazing- so friendly and had great suggestions. Breakfast was a good time to find out where everyone was going, and in the evening some of us would gather to talk about our days. I learned so much about life in other countries through those conversations. This was my first time staying in a hostel and I can’t wait to travel this way again. Thank you for a truly great stay.

Incredibly friendly! Quiet time from midnight until around 07:30am is a fantastic idea. I hired a bike for the day and the team were so great to recommend trips, restaurants etc. If I return to Faro I would absolutely stay here again, for sure!

I think it is the best experience you can have staying at a hostel- it was very cosy, clean, calm and you had immidiately a feeling „like home“ due to the very very friendly and helpful staff.

All the staff members were so polite, kind and warm hearted. I really felt home. They will provide you with good ideas to do, tips where to eat and everyday fresh pancakes!! They will try to make your holiday as best as possible. good energy good location and very good people. I will hopefully see them again december! they have a summer and winter hostel ideas and im so excited to see how it is in the winter as well ❤️🍀 Everything was very clean, cozy and just enjoyable. They have a night shift as well, so if you are a solo traveler and maybe feel more vulnerable. Here they try to make it as safe as possible. there is always someone to help.

my stay was perfect I cannot think of anything I didn't like and there were many unexpected extras.

the breakfast was plentiful with delicious homemade pancakes and very nicely social. everything here exceeded my expectations. It was manned 24 hrs and safe and secure. The staff are very helpful and friendly and kind and the location is excellent. They will even store your luggage and let you shower and cook past your checkout time. 11 out of 10 stars

You know the wibes , so nice had to stay there twice, I got there on the 19th and was greeted by the wonderful receptionist Celine, she was very helpful and professional, also big shoutout to Natalie (the bartender) & benny ( the night receptionist) so glad they were still there from last time I was here (in june this year ) ,they are both such good energy also marta (the mother ) ,sorting me out a bottom bunk within seconds I appreciated it alot. Right enough of the waffle main reasons to stay : * THERE IS PANCAKES EVERY MORNING , WITCH IS GREAT FOR HANGOVERS * THE STAFF ARE SO CARING AND REALLY DO GO THE EXTRA MILE FOR THERE GUESTS * ITS LITERALLY I THE CITY CENTRE. Thank you for another pleasant stay. ✌️💙
