Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

New ZealandThere is a building site next door with construction work starting at 8am on week days. Not ideal if you a looking for a sleep in.
There was lots to love about Casa da Candida, great communication, contactless entry with key code access, free parking a couple of minutes walk from the apartment, plenty of coffee pods for our whole stay, very close to the beach, restaurants and a fantastic coffee shop bakery on the corner. While very compact, and lacking any views, it had everything we needed for a 4 day stay for a couple.

CyprusThere is a construction site nearby and sometimes you can hear it, but it didn't bother us and they didn't make any noise in the morning. There is no view.
Clean apartment, remote check-in (send an access code in correspondence), free Parking, fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, good living room, comfortable bed, air conditioning. In the very center of the city, 2 minutes to the beach, friendly host.

Hostess Julia was very helpful and went out of her way. Lovely little apartment, clean and fresh and could do laundry. Well situated to beach and short walk to cable car. Parking was included.

United StatesHaving to get into the apartment to get the access key for the parking garage was a little stressing, but we figured it out. The queen bed fit very tightly into the room, and we had to crawl into it from the foot. Lighting at side of bed was low to none, so turning out the light before we got in had to happen. Battery operated side lights would be good.
Location was fantastic to the beach, and room was well equipped for coffee prep in the morning. Bathroom was nice, although we didn't use the shower, and closing the slider door to find the light switch was a minor challenge! We stayed on a Sunday, and parking was a few blocks away in an underground garage. Host was always willing to come meet us if we had problems.

GermanyThere is very little space around the bed, but this is something we knew in advance, having looked at the pictures.
Conveniently located in proximity to the beach and to the monumental market hall, and in walking distance to the coach station, this is a clean, quiet, and comfortable flat with a fully equipped kitchenette. The friendly owner offered excellent advice concerning local restaurants.

CanadaNo room for nightstands. No screens on the windows so couldn’t take advantage of the sea air. No hooks in the bathroom. AC wasn’t powerful enough so that would be problematic in summer months. Bed not so comfortable.
Super clean, ultra modern apartment just steps from the beach, restaurants and supermarket. Keyless entry was great. Quiet location. Great communication with host, who spoke English. Best of all, no musty smell!

CanadaWe are seniors so getting in and out of the bed was a bit difficult for us since it has no “walk-around” space. The apartment is very small but everything is built in, very streamlined which was good. It tended to be damp, probably due to its location but the heater took care of that.
The location is perfect, a short walk to the beach where all the shops and restaurants can be easily located. It was good to have a dedicated parking spot because finding parking is difficult, even though the parking lot is a short walk away. You don’t want or need a car in Nazare. Advice for next guests: the street is only for walking. We had difficulty finding it because our GPS told us to turn right but there was no street. We suggest you find a parking space on Ave Vieira Guimaraes, pay one euro and walk to find it. There is a police station there and they were very helpful. You can unload your baggage and then find the underground parking space. The price for this apartment was very reasonable and the location couldn’t be better.
