Very nice place to stay. Host is attentive and helpful. Place is very clean and cozy. Good home breakfast in the morning. Bus till center just 8 min so wasn't an issue to get there. I liked my experience and I would be glad to be again Antonio's guest.

Good quiet location, bit far from centre, but all way down ; exceptional clean room and bathroom. Nice breakfast. Very helpful and friendly host. Despite the weather we had enjoyed our break.

We liked everything about the property. be aware that it is in a noisy location if you’re a light sleeper.

It is a bit outside of the center and it can be a bit steep - but that gives you great view over the city and nice sunsets! (You can't have both)

As others have already written: Antonio (and other less visible people) really take good care of guests and the house. Yes there are shared bathing rooms, but it's no issue and (at least!) largely outweighed by the good breakfast. And don't miss out on visiting the bonsai garden!

Not a 10 just because there were a bit of communication issues and first I had to push to leave my luggage there before check-in and later I had to wait beyond the agreed time for check-in. It is quite a long uphill walk from the city center.

The house is lovely and very clean, there is only one bathroom but it's super clean and I never had any issues finding other people there. The owner is really nice and can see that he cares, cooks the breakfast in the morning when you wake up. The room was super spacious and even provided a bathrobe, which I think was a great touch!

I couldn't sleep all night, the traffic was very loud, but as it was hot in the room we had to leave the window open. Maybe it'd be a good idea to get some fans for the rooms as the room was very hot during our stay!

Super clean. Bonsais are amazing. House is a grand house from another era! But the biggest treat are the hosts: Antonio and his son are just really the nicest people you could ever meet. Extremely intelligent on top of that.

We had to withdraw money only to pay the municipality tax in cash. Breakfast served only from 8:30 is a little late, and we had to get it packed since we had a bus to Lisbon.

The house is beautiful and Antonio is a kind and welcoming host. All the services are good and clean. The breakfast was great too. On the last day we had to leave earlier to catch a bus and we were provided with two sandwiches with cheese, bananas and apple.

We only wish we had more time to stay longer, and explore more of the Coimbra area!

The breakfast made by Antonio was very tasty and presented beautifully in the sunny dining area overlooking the home's backyard oasis with gorgeous trees and plants he has curated and grown over the years. If you want to learn about bonsai plants, Antonio has a wealth of knowledge in this area (and passion!). We loved our view of Coimbra at sunset and sunrise from our room. Antonio and his family are gracious people that we wish we had more time to get to know.

Extraordinary stay António was an amazing host with a lovely house! Breakfast was made with love and super delicious. You can even park directly infront. There were a lot of parking spaces very close by. And you can even have a double bed even if booking says they are seperated what you also can have!

Everything was great!

Antonio was a wonderful host that prepared a personal breakfast each morning including eggs, cheese, warm rolls, butter and jam, fruit, sliced tomatoes, and coffee. The room was private, spacious and very clean. Excellent shower. We parked our car in front of his house, and used the public bus to take us to the historic center. Very easy.

There's no parking at the property but it was easy to find space to park on the street.

Antonio was a wonderful host, full of helpful information and who really loves his bonsai, the room was spacious, and breakfast was delicious.

I had a very pleasant stay at this property. The whole place is very nicely arranged, impeccably clean and peaceful. It has a beautiful garden. The room and bathroom were spacious and the bed very comfortable. Beautiful view of the town. The host Antonio is very kind and attentive.

It was not a problem for us as we had a car but it is half an hour’s walk to the centre of town.
