I feel like this hostel is more catered to older travellers. There weren't many of us in our twenties. I definitely felt out of place as a young solo traveller but everyone was kind and I did feel safe.

The location on the beach was so nice. Had the most relaxing trip.

Far from the town, needs a bus or taxi to go everywhere. There's no even a little market to buy some groceries around. Staff not really friendly, they change the codes to open the doors without inform the guests, so we arrived at night, the door was locked and the receptionist guy had to open the door.

The hostel is cool, just by the beach, pretty clean. Selma, one of the staff members, is really lovely and helpful.

Kitchen was under equipped, rooms very small with little storage. One room I stayed in didn’t have a window.

The outside door/window had a public light outside which shone al night and the shutter could not be lowered all the way to cut out the light. One had to contend with others sharing the room - snoring etc, though that was not too bad.

Considering I arrived after midnight my reception was very well handled, and the facilities at the hostel were better than I would have expected.

The reception got my room wrong when I checked in, and it took her long time to fix. My big bottle of yogurt was stolen from the fridge after the first night 😕. The room wall is not thick enough for noise, people stayed quite late and loud sometimes was very annoying. The shower was super crowded.

Location is good. The cleaning staff and facility maintenance staff worked really hard. They are always there to make sure everything is clean and functioning.

The new building was the real let down; it was basically a small apartment complex and my little unit had a mini-kitchen with a table and 2/3 chairs, 2 small bathrooms (1 toilet roll per bathroom per day?!) an entry with a sofa put in it, and 2 dorms. Outside there was a table for 6 but only 1 chair. Compared to the old place which had a huge terrace with shade/ sun, tables chairs hammocks, open deck leading right to the water and draft beer on tap, I don't know why they moved. They surely could have brought a few chairs with them so people had a place to sit together?

It's joint cheapest place to stay in Faro and pretty much the closest to the airport. Also joint first place for proximity to the beach. They got new beds when they moved and tightened the nuts properly (although I don't know how they lost concentration and put the ladder next to the head end on the bunk I was in; they'd done the others right). The duvet was also good quality and everything had been to the laundry so a very comfortable and welcoming bed. Convenient to have a socket right next to each bed too; this part was well thought out.

We stayed in a double room with a shared bathroom. The room was quite basic—bare and rather dark, with no dishes, plates, soap, etc. The towels were old and very worn out, and the bathroom was in poor condition, appearing dirty and neglected. The door had a latch, and the room was right next to the bathroom, so you could hear everything. It's okay for a one-night stay, but I wouldn't stay longer, especially in bad weather.

I personally did not have issue with this, but it is still considered a con, the room's door did not properly close not lock, not the even the front door for all I've seen. But the place still felt safe though. Also the place is a way too far from the supermarket and the ferries.

the beach is like 50 steps from the place.. there is a lot of space around to hang out and or just chill.. the tenants -- someone from other reviews complained that they were all middle aged people, although is true, they were all super cool and fun to be with..

The bathrooms for girls dorm..the toilet cubicles are far too small...the shower drains always block.. there's no where to put your clothes whilst showering.theres never dry toilet paper. There's a member of staff called Paulo..Brazilian who constantly steals food from the kitchen..its out of order...he actually admitted it was him one time.. said he was drunk..Well it is not nice and takes away all trust and nice feeling.the staff say they know he does it but Management don't care..this is not good

The beach is in like 3 meters. You can hear the ocean directly lying in your bed. The people there are really nice. Very relaxing 2 nights to start for our short trip in Portugal. Thank you.

Near to the beach and restaurants. Nice location for taking breakfast on the way to the beach. Good possibility to go to Faro city by ferry boat.

Be sure to bring a lock if you want to store stuff in storage locker in the room. Beds are squeky.

The ocean is 30 seconds away. You can be swimming in the morning straight from the bed. Beach is nice and quiet. You cant get any better for this price. The facilities are quite clean and cleaned regulary, beds are fresh and made everyday. Kitchen is ok, showers are decent. If all the beds are booked its a bit too crowdy, but still ok. Its nice to get to know new people too

I think the noise when the other people arrive at night, some of the drawers were old or broken, and could be fixed for people organize better their stuff, closes, dress, etc, etc

The hostel is right to the beach, so for example you can wake up early and go for a swim right away. Also the rooftop has a nice view and is great for sun baths with a view in the area. You can also swim or take bath in Ria Formosa ou Praia de Faro. It's a calm place generally without noises..

shower needs attention black on shower head is course of most hepitities , if not support weaking itch- tinggling, ying and yang is cancer ! bathroom clogs every time used ! 3 bathrooms I guess for 6 rooms ! staff always cleaning , those things must be changed !

The crowd. I am younger traveller and found that most staying at the stay were middle aged people. Something to consider for travellers.

The property is well located on the beach and staff is helpful. I saw cleaning staff often.

Cleaning of commin area before cheackbout 8 am . Tourcher of wooden floor started downstairs . Tv at full volume wasnt hearable . At a quite night 23.00 time .
