Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandUnfortunately, that was our last stay in this hotel. We gave it a second chance but unfortunately, it’s too loud outside. I have left a note for a quiet room but we still got one next to 24/7 kebabs and night club just in a hotel area. All night long you just can hear pathetically drunk people and favorite word: “qwa”. What’s a pity. We actually really love this hotel.
This is our second stay in this hotel. Location is well suited, service is ok. Friendly staff. Cute hotel with a soul. Good value for a price. Rooms are clean, well equipped, water, coffee and tea is available.

PhilippinesNo view from window because I had the attic type room. Check in is from a different entrance of the hotel (see photo with red arrow), you have to drag your luggage all the way to the side entrance to access your hotel rooom. The lifts were broken one night and wasn’t working till next morning so I had to keep using their fancy staircase. Got scared at night because of insufficient lighting in the hallways and staircase. Carpet felt a bit old but still okay.
Location, extremely spacious rooms, heater for hot water.

United KingdomThe only minor thing some might not like is noise from those stood outside nightclub on the corner down the street. Easily solved with earphones or ANC if you are particularly noise sensitive. Honestly I was expecting it to be way louder for a Saturday night with loud music and prepared myself, however it was quieter than the city I come from and I was on the first floor! So can only be even better for those on higher levels.
Comfy and homely, easy check in accommodating me at very late hours - As some others do not currently where renovation is happening across Gdańsk at other hotels. Bed was very comfortable, room was clean and spacious bathroom. Homely touches with nicely framed historic photographs of ships and the docks was a nice touch as someone who values history and heritage.

GermanyThe hotel is near a night club and the sound may reaches the room, even if closed windows. Depending on how light is your sleep, that can be a problem.
Comfortable place for a couple, well located (circa 10 mins from old town) and has a very nice staff. It is easy also to check-in / check-out and they even take care of our luggage before check-in to allow us to explore better the city.

United StatesThe location was convenient - not right in the middle of the old town, but only a 5 minute walk away. Breakfast was good. The room was clean. The hotel decor felt like what might be a traditional Polish hotel, which was nice.

BulgariaThe power outlets in the room are not near the bed. Our apartment was on the third floor. There was a loft to the second and you had to the stairs for one floor (which is not a big deal, much better than no elevator at all). The soap bars were a little weird to me. When windows were open, it was noisy from outside (again not a big deal since it's no summer temperatures).
Very good central location (location was not the same as the reception but still quite close by). We were goven complimentary water that was updated every day. Shower and soap also updated if needed. We arrived earlier and were able to check-in with no problem as the room was ready.

ItalyThere was no view probably because top floor. The bottom side of my part of the bed had a very floppy mattress, or it seemed like staves of the bed was/were missing but it did not affect its comfort.
Cleanness was very good. The bathroom was perfect and spotless all the time. The location is perfect right by the Old Town close to all attractions.

NorwayI should have asked for a room off the street side. Room was directly over a bar/restaurant and noise from the street was disturbing till quite late at night. Also, I was sure that I had booked a room with single twin beds, but was given one with only a double. Worked out fine and we were too tired to go back to reception (reception was around the street corner at a separate entrance.)
Spacious room. Lovely tiled bathroom. Very clean.
