Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicRestaurant was already closed at 8pm, the town is quite small, so there are not many other options there. Check out is officially at 11, but somebody knocked on our door two times around 9:30 am. It was no big issue, as we were almost leaving, but maybe let the reception know if you want to sleep longer in the morning.
Cheap, comfortable, clean. Parking lot is behind the building > little bit hard to find. It is also possible to park on the street in front of the building, but the parking lot is more spacious. Nice location - in the centre of the town, 20 minutes walk to the lake.

United KingdomThere was no hot water at the hotel when I went for a shower in the morning, so that woke me up within an instant (not so bad, I guess, but unpleasant). Also, the water didn’t escape in the shower, so tub was full of water by the time I was done (rather unpleasant).
It was clean and tidy, staff polite and helpful, food at the restaurant was delicious and portions were generous (too generous, I would say). Amazing value for money.

LithuaniaVery complicated system of corridors leading to the rooms - your really need to learn it first, but after it goes ok.
The location was perfect - in the very center, close to White Synagoga and the Church.

LithuaniaHelpful staff. We arrived with bicycles, they organized safe place for it. There was noisy wedding party during our stay, but staff gave us rooms at another part of hotel, so it was silent.

RussiaThe internet signal in my room was pretty weak. It went out completely the morning of my second day there. I informed the staff in the early afternoon and it was fixed by the late afternoon.
Great location. The room and bed are comfortable. The housekeeper was very kind. The room smelled like my grandma’s house, so I had some nostalgia staying here.

BelarusFor the record - I'm in a wheelchair, traveled alone in my car. Finding the hotel was not difficult, but getting into it without the help of passers-by is unrealistic. There is only one room for the disabled, it is located in a neighboring building on the ground floor, there is no telephone in the room, the Internet does not work at all (there is no signal from the hotel network), you can get to the hotel reception only through the conference room, no button or call to call the staff and there is no way to open the door. When I had to leave early in the morning, I knocked on the windows and doors of the hotel for 10 minutes until they heard me and opened the parking gate in the yard. It is still possible to open the iron door to the room, but how to close it? After all, for this you need to leave the room in a wheelchair again .... In the room, the tap in the sink dangles in all directions to turn off the light - you have to get out of bed, sit in the wheelchair, turn off the light, then get back into bed in the dark ... TOTAL - it was the worst night in my trip, the room for the disabled is a "ghetto", hides the disabled person away from people and is completely unsuitable for living.
the low price was attractive, but that was my fault

PolandRestaurant was closed after a party (no info from hotel) as were all other eateries in town, leaving us with a sole pizza option. Decor minimal. Bathroom cramped and basic.
Clean and simple. Comfy armchairs in room which is reasonably large. Good wifi.
