Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NorwayThe kitchen was nice and I like that they use the polish tastes, but somehow it was a bit non-interesting. Also, staying at 4th floor means you have no elevator the last stairs.
Great place to stay for several nights! Lots to do in the area, the castle, biking, climbing, walks, yoga, swimmingpool, spa, sunbathing, sipping local wine in the outdoors. Great breakfast! Beautyful pool!

PolandA few details which matter for that class of hotel: service is a bit light (you get the minimum attention) and sloppy at time, (ex: non one cared to ask at check out wether stay was good, we got woken up on sunday ~ 9.30 am by room service asking wether we’d want the room cleaned, took us 30 mins at the restaurant to get bread and waitresses impossible to catch …) no drama but a staff with stronger customer orientation and presence is what would make the Overall experience fantastic. Also gym could use more equipment as it is right now quite minimalist. Sauna also kind of cold when vapor is gone.
Overall a good experience - Rooms are fantastic, great Breakfast, fine restaurant, swimming pool, jacuzzi, overall concept, hotel architecture and surroundings which are truly unique

NetherlandsWe got a last minute notification that the restaurant wasn’t available for diner at day 1 because of a wedding. Also the wine bar was only for the wedding guests. The second day the wine bar was only open for a company party, so we couldn’t enjoy everything the hotel had to offer.
It was relaxing, clean and the hotel is really beautiful. Also a big thumbs up for the kitchen. The hotel has a nice menu and a great breakfast buffet.

PolandOnly one thing. The smell of artificial scent (as a part of spa environment) at the reception- not environmental friendly. Not a place for people with asthma problems. I think this should be removed from the desk. Otherwise one of the most beautiful hotels in the world- One has to visit, at least once.
One of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. One has to come to see- hotel on the rock. Native rock in the restaurant as a part of a wall. Best service. Best food- but expensive though.

FinlandStaff outside restaurant (restaurant customer service attitude was top notch) was cold and distant, English language skills were lacking and almost nobody seemed to care Corona restrictions. Our room was ridiculously hot even we asked to lower our room temperature.
Everything was clean, nice and well organized. SPA, sauna, swimming area, surrounding countryside and really delicious food.

SwitzerlandThe hotel keeps a hight standart, the food was very good and well balanced and very well presented. My only critic but hard critic is the server in the resturant are very young, with little education of how to serve and remove the plate. To was that unprofetionel it removed some of the beauty of the meal. Ease give them the tool to be great, they where young and willing.
I had a short but very wonderful stay, with walks and spa and good and well presented food. the receptionist was very attentive from we walked in. I apriciated it highly and would highly recomendate the place.

CanadaModern hotel with great location to one of the most intact fortresses along the Eagles Road. We checked in and went for a walk around the side of the property through a small forest and came upon the fortress. We toured the fortress and returned to our hotel for dinner. Dinner was very good as well as the breakfast the next morning. I forgot my watch on the night stand, contacted the hotel and they mailed it to me back home. I received it yesterday. Thank you!

PolandPoziom 511 is extremely overpriced. At more than 300 euro per night I paid, one might have expected a truly luxurious property, especially in 50 km from Kraków and Katowice (which is definitely not the most expensive area in the world). Make no mistake, Poziom 511 is “decent” but hardly “premium” let alone “luxury”. With the restaurant being the only exception, there is nothing there to justify the steep pricing. Our “deluxe double room” was smaller than expected, and came with one small window and no bathtub (shower only). Water in the pool was cold. I saw a lot of reviews complaining about it, and the property owners always claimed the water was 29C. I doubt it was even 25C. Breakfast buffet was rather basic and left much to be desired. Despite the inflated prices, they charged additional 30 PLN per night for parking. Be careful with restaurant reservations via the online form they provide — they lost our reservation (but we were still served well, so no offense taken).
The castle nearby is a real gem. The hotel restaurant was very good. Otherwise, nothing special. A solid 4* hotel that ticks (almost) all the boxes and should have been priced at about 100-150 euro per night. It was however priced at above 300 euro per night on weekends, hence all the rant below.
