Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThere was nothing we didn't like. Our only niggle (and it didn't really bother us) was that there were some flower petals on the floor and a drink coaster under the bedside table which had obviously been missed on the clean from the previous occupants.
The hotel is perfectly positioned, in a very picturesque area. We arrived late at night and received detailed instructions beforehand telling us how to access the hotel and room as reception closes at 8 pm. The room was beautiful. We had a bathroom and a shower room.

United KingdomMinor points, but that would be being "picky". Milk to go with coffee would be helpful.
Great location, friendly & helpful staff, who are very accomodating. They have an association with a restaurant for breakfast - you can buy a voucher - which is exellent (great menu and very good food).

United KingdomThe only constructive feedback would be that the shower in room 7 requires a deep clean. There were some hairs on the back wall when we arrived and some limescale on the fixtures and fittings.
The location of the hotel is perfect being right next to the basilica and a stones throw away from the main street of Gdansk, the interior design is absolutely stunning and you can tell that a lot of thought and expense has gone into the property. We loved that even the new part of the hotel kept some feel of period features and that the gothic but modern aesthetic was continued throughout. The team made late check in exceptionally easy for us and Pawel sent a thorough message prior to our departure from the UK containing instructions of how to check in when we arrived at 1.30am. I especially liked the gift that was left for us upon our arrival - a very pretty magnet of Gdansk. Such a gorgeous touch to kick off the beginning of our stay. The room was comfortable and relatively quiet (except people passing in the early hours) and we thought it was a substantial size for a long weekend trip. If we were ever to return to Gdansk, we would definitely book this property again. The smart TV was great for the morning which we had to pack our bags, we were able to sign into prime to have some background TV on whilst we were packing, and the replenished free water on a morning was perfect for us.

United KingdomThe main shower head had some limescale build up so it spurted water in many directions so we ended up using the handheld shower which was fine. The pillows were slightly uncomfortable but that’s personal preference
Really great location, central to everything in the city. A fabulous hotel! We would definitely stay again

United KingdomNothing not to like really- could have had more towels as there were two of us. If you want breakfast it’s down the road so slightly inconvenient but it was delicious
Beautiful building from 15th century in the old town. Really well remodelled and modernised sympathetically. The room was in the loft with twin beds. Although no windows (sky lights) it was really light and spacious .

United KingdomThere's nothing to dislike! The only thing missing was some little uht cartons of milk with the tea/coffee making bits in the room but we soon realised that this was not a reflection on the hotel as we discovered...we had to ask for milk for tea almost everywhere :-)
The hotel was easy to find, situated perfectly to explore the old town and the newer parts. It's a very short walk down the street and through a passage onto the waterfront. Staff were wonderful and couldn't have been more helpful. The hotel itself was immaculate throughout. We were in an attic room, which was just perfect. We absolutely couldn't have asked for more. We would return to Gdansk and this hotel in a heartbeat.

IrelandIt's not immune to external noise with the odd reveller in the dead of night, but it wasn't a common occurrence or a big deal.
The location was excellent, right in the heart of the city beside the cathedral. I was within short walking distance to everything I wanted to see. It provided excellent value for money and the room was clean, comfortable and modern.

United KingdomIt’s a personal preference, but I’m not a fan of a glass door to a bathroom! There is a curtain though!

United KingdomThis is a great little hotel in the heart of the old town part of Gdansk. It's at the top of a pedestrianised road full of shops and restaurants and very walkable to all the attractions in town as well as the waterfront. My room was in the "new" part of the building, accessed from the side - but even the 'new' side is full of character and looked out onto the church - beautiful. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean and incredibly comfy; the bed was huge, I loved the monogrammed sheets and towels, and the lighting and heating were fully customisable. Even thoughtful touches like slippers and even an umbrella were provided. I was able to leave my luggage in the lobby on my final day after checkout. The staff were very friendly and spoke excellent English. I would happily stay again.

DenmarkAmazing vibe, atmosphere and location. We had a window view of the cathedral. And at the reception they gave us a little welcome gift as well :)) Located in the amber street (the most romantic street in Gdansk), with all the locations in a 4 minute walking distance, definitely recommended.

United StatesI understand why there is no elevator, as this is a historical property, but a large suitcase could be an issue.
The location is ideal for exploring Gdansk. It's a beautiful historical property with a unique layout and with great views. The available for purchase breakfast vouchers in the nearby eatery was wonderful, just get there early.

United StatesI stayed on the second floor of the annex which was very nice but the windows didn’t provide any sound barrier to the street noise. Bring good earplugs. In room coffee of Nescafé packets could use an upgrade.
Great location in walking distance to almost everything. Bed, linens and bathroom were excellent. Bath towels were 5 star luxurious.
