Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. United KingdomBeds not the most comfortable. The gym lights in the basement would not stay on so it was dark, and it’s smaller than I thought from the images. The quiet hours finished very early in the morning, and a neighbor decided this meant they could let their small child run screaming up the stairs for an hour at 6am.
Really well located to Gdansk and great value. Easy to find and parking directions outside were clear. Could park outside one day but next day had to go to nearby street (this wasn’t very clear). Property is clean, bathrooms are big, kitchens well equipped.

ItalyWhile we were heading to the property, we got lost as the GPS was making us go across the woods (no paths). I think that hosts should be informed about that, as not all of them come there by car
The kitchen is really fully equipped (very few hostels have a kitchen like that), plus the bathrooms are really big and there is a nice garden where you can relax

United KingdomIt could get noisy - it was very full when we stayed. There were a lot of grumpy children, this echoed through the building. Not the properties fault of course. There always seemed to be 2/3 people cooking in the small kitchen, and there was almost always a queue for the bathroom - there were only 3 bathrooms for a large amount of visitors. They ran out of toilet roll & washing up liquid. Not a major issue - but it could annoy some future guests.
Budget property with a light airy room - we had the top floor. There were many stairs. The train station and local shop was a 10/15 minute walk. A good property if you had a car. There were spaces to park. It was a lovely quiet neighbourhood. The manager was very helpful.

Poland1) The room is small. It was a little cramped for three persons 2) It's a bit far to get to the city center and the beach.
Very beautiful and quiet place. Nearby, there is a church with an interesting history, sculptures, and a picturesque forest trail that will take you to the shopping center. The hotel has a shared kitchen, where you can find coffee, tea and all necessary utensils, refrigerator and kettle. Especially I recommend everyone to have breakfast and coffee while watching a low-flying plane on cozy terrace. The number of bathrooms is sufficient, everything is kept clean.

United KingdomFor me the mattrass was a bit soft and the bed base a bit hard, so lying on my side was a bit uncomfortable. Not an issue for me, but people looking for lots of night life should probably look elsewhere.
Pleasant place on the edge of the forest. Well designed, clean accommodation with very good facilities and helpful guys on reception when on duty. Good ratio of bathrooms to bedrooms. Pleasant walk from airport via the forest. Decent supermarket, bus stop and train stations within walking distance, as long as you know where to find them. Overall, very positive and very good value for your hard earned money.

PolandThe hotel looks good at first glance, there is a bathroom on each floor, BUT while we were staying in this hotel, we were bitten by bedbugs (at first I thought they were mosquitoes). After we returned home, the insects continued to bite me. Then we had to call the disinfection to get rid of the bedbugs.
The iron at the hotel was broken and a day later a new one was bought at our request.

Czech RepublicThe lack of bathrooms (3 bathrooms with WC) for the whole hostel. It's definitely not enough especially for the families with kids (very often occupied). Also the door of one shower was broken... Sometimes it was noisy even during the night, but it's all about people and not the host faultand. Gerenally the photos on Booking lookes much better than the reality. But for the hostel I think the contidions were fair, we did not stay in hostel during the day anyway...
