Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

If you need a parking place, this is an easy choice. There is also Lidl front of the hotel. Very good value for the price. Tasty breakfast. Good wifi.

United StatesThe staff of the restaurant does not speak any foreign language. Luckily the lady at the front desk helped me out, her English is excellent. The breakfast in the morning is OK, but not outstanding. The facade of the hotel is under renovation, the parking lot needs new asphalt. The rooms and beds are very clean, but the walls need some renovation.
I did stay twice: once Aug. 26 - 27 and the second time September 1 - September 2. The location is very convenient if one is driving to or from Kaliningrad. The receptionist speaks excellent English and is very helpful. My objective was to get a comfortable rest to drive in the early morning the next day and it was fulfilled. I like the soup menu in the restaurant and the prices are reasonable.

PolandNo such thing - all good for me!
Most of all - great, friendly and helpful staff at the reception. The room was very spacious, nice bathroom, very clean and fresh. The kitchen has a small but fantastic menu; meals are generous, delicious and great prices (I travel quite a bit and know the comparison). Amazing value for the $. The hotel has some exterior renovation going on, but it was not loud at all. If I am ever again in Malbork, I will stay there again.

United KingdomThere was no kitchen facility as far as I’m aware, but this was made up for by the excellent hotel food and the proximity to Lidl.
Food was good, well located, friendly staff and very good rooms for the price. Would definitely recommend, really enjoyed my stay.

United KingdomLocation - it is a good 25-30 min walk from the Malbork castle with a heavy luggage Dated old fashioned facilities decor from communist era 😂 (Poland many years ago) very dated old TV with only one channel working sadly the remote control was dirty 😕 Work outside - there was work going on so all windows were secured by tape it was very difficult to open the window Restaurant was pleasant but no dairy free vegan milk or lactose free milk and no good and varied vegetarian options
Ladies at the reception and lady in the restaurant were brilliant 🙂 and made my stay lovely 😍 thank you!

The restaurant offers very tasty and not too expensive food in huge portions. It works till 10 pm so you can have a meal anytime during the day. The hotel was old but clean and very cheap.

SlovakiaA small fridge in the room would be nice. When you pay for the breakfast, the coffee is not included in the price for some reason - 7PLN and is not really worth it to be honest.
Great value for money. Private parking and private bathroom. Heating in the room was working perfectly and that's a big plus for those travelling with little kids. Everything was nice and clean, restaurant within premises with good food and good prices.

United KingdomRoom did not have a small fridge which would be useful, also floor requires some repairs as it is bit dated and panels keep moving when one walks. Big con for us was the distance from the town centre and historical sites in Malbork, but we've managed to use local public transport to get there in the end. The hot water pressure in the shower was almost non-existent and would be good if someone could check it. Also, one of the lanterns shone straight in our window which was quite inconvenient in the night.
Room spacious and tidy with basic décor (but I've chosen economy price so expected that), clean bathroom and shower, sink and toilet, fairly quiet area to sleep. Very helpful and friendly staff and great hotel restaurant with fantastic décor and equally great food (massive portions!). We liked the fact that we've had very close (across the street) to the nearest shopping centre and Lidl if we needed to get extra bottle of water or snacks.

United KingdomThe site is still a building site and so I was a bit confused on arrival about access. Not the best first impression. I was woken up on the Saturday by the building work too. The Booking.com listing said there was a kettle in the room but I had to go and ask for one. The plug sockets were not conveniently located.
Large, comfortable bed, in a big room. Surprised by the amount of space for a single room. For one night stay it did the job.

LithuaniaShaky floors, uncomfortable beds, peeling floors and ceilings. Small old TV showing only a few Polish channels through the fog. The room was stuffy, but it was not safe to open the windows because there was construction scaffolding outside the window. The smell of meatballs in the corridors.
