Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Czech RepublicWe were looking for a place to sleep for us and our dog. We really liked the accommodation. The room was spacious, clean, there were towels. Snacks, a minibar, and small sweets were prepared for us. Large bathroom including shower gel and shampoo. The garden is beautiful, fenced, ideal for traveling with a dog. The receptionist was nice and helpful. Parking is possible in front of the building. We were probably the only guests but the breakfast was very rich. Plenty of choices (scrambled eggs, sausages, various kinds of salami/ham,/cheese, vegetables, fruits, pastry...). We were very satisfied.

United KingdomAt the beginning I was shocked when saw a dog- the hotel is pets friendly and my daughter is petrified of dogs, but later it wasn’t a problem at all.
Really comfortable beds, quiet, clean, spacious. Free bits to eat and drinks is a massive bonus. Polish tv, the balcony and the garden. Patient receptionist ☺️. Thank you ☺️

PolandThe reception was not available 24/7. I could not order a wake-up call and it was very important to me. Although I paid extra for my pet to be able to come, there weren't any amenities for animals like bowls, litter, or protection on the balcony/terrace
The location was perfect for my needs. I could come with my pet and there was a separate entrance for guests.

GermanyNot really. The shower cabin is a little narrow but its not a big deal.
The room quality is excellent, can be 4- stars with good taste of decoration, full necessary stuff, good sound- isolation and super generous free welcomed- snacks ( tea, coffee, beer, juice, peanut and some sweet things). Spacious room and bathroom. Very quite at night. So far we cannot find any hotels around euroupe where they can offer the same ( with similar price). The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good for the price. There is a tram station nearby for whom doesnt have a car. It takes you 15' to the center.

GermanyThe hot drinks at breakfast were literally disgusting. I tried the hot chocolate and a coffee, both tasted very different from what I usually expect from these drinks.
The location, room and staff were all excellent. Drinks from the mini bar and some small snacks in the room were included in the price.
