Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Israel1. It's a shame they didn't take care of who to drink every day, it would have saved us carrying the bottles. 2. It would have been nice to add 2 deckchairs on the beach 3. The air conditioner is not strong enough, so during the afternoon it is very hot in the villa.
A stunning villa, tastefully designed, includes a tiny kitchenette for preparing small meals, away from the mess in General Luna, located in Santa Fe on a white and quiet beach. The driveway is dirt and not paved, so you have to take into account that it will be difficult for tuktuks to enter and they will drop you off on the road, a 3 minute walk is not bad at all.

United KingdomThe location is great for a quiet stay with a private beach however, if you’re not comfortable getting a motorbike or undeveloped roads this might be a problem.
The villa was finished to a high standard, and the beach at the end of the garden is a must see. Adrian was a fantastic host.

SpainThe location is a little bit out of the way, and the road to get there was not illuminated and muddy, so getting to and from the villa at night was a bit inconvenient.
The environment was really beautiful and the villa itself was really comfortable and a treat to be in. The views of the beach directly from the room where fantastic. All staff was very attentive and accommodating.

The place was amazing, with private beach, private entrance.

IrelandThis is a beautiful property, and our host was brilliant, anything we needed was arranged without any fuss, it is in a private and secluded area, and yet close to the town which has many fine restaurants, the access road into the property is definitely an adventure, especially on a scooter, but overall we loved every minute of our stay.

BelgiumThe only flaw of the vila is the way to it. Here you definitely need a scooter. Tricycles are not a fan of riding this road..
The villa was excellent. Everything was more than fine, down to the last detail. What a friendly host, really nice to stay here. Beautiful bathroom, nice shower, wonderful bed where you can also watch Netflix (handy if you are still in the rainy season) beautiful sunset, nice place to learn how to surf, relax in peace and yet only 15 minutes from the crowds in General Luna. By the way, it was the best place to get engaged ;) We will never forget this magical place and the nice gift we received from the host!

GermanyIf you are looking for an exceptional, quiet place to stay, then this is where you should go! The villa was truely amazing! So many nice, small details (wooden doors, nice scent, so much space, loved the two showers inside and outside and the bathroom in general with all the plants, and much more), and a very comfortable bed. The view is breathtaking and the beach is certainly one of the nicest ones on the whole island - almost just for yourself! We even had a surfing lesson with the onsite house manager Adrian, starting right in front of the house! We have in the meantime looked for other similar hotels or places on the Philippines and couldn't find anything comparable with this price. We also got good support before arriving on the island on how to get to the villa. Although the path from the main road to the villa (about 300 metres) can get very wet with puddles, we managed to drive there by ourselves with a scooter which we rented in the city centre. Adrian and Angel would have also helped to organise a car to drive us to the villa if we didn't want to drive a scooter ourselves. A scooter is also very good to get around the island, as in the small town where the villa is close by doesn't have as many restaurants to offer as the main place for tourists (general luna). But again, nothing negative here, just depends on what you actually look for. All in all, we highly recommend staying here!

CanadaEvery once in a while you find a truly exceptional place to stay. This villa is one of those. It is secluded and is directly on the beach with very few people around. A must try villa for anyone looking to have serenity and peace. The villa also featured a kitchenette.

Philippines1. The location - it was our bad that we didn't check the location. This is almost 10 kms away from the town proper. If you don't rent a bike, you will have difficulty going out at night to dine and part at GL town proper. You'll have to pay 250 pesos per way for special tricycle trip, not to mention, wait at the road to get a transpo. Also, from the main road going to the property, this is 500 meters away. During rainy season, which was the season during our trip, tricycles won't agree to drop us off right at the property's doorstep because the internal road is not passable 2. Albeit the hosts were very accommodating, I didn't appreciate that we are charged for 400 pesos for a mug that we broke. That mug was the storage holder of utensils. It was an accident that it got broke. But I'm concerned why it's made or ceramic and stored in a very high place, like above head height. The more concerning part is the charge. 400 pesos. Really??? In addition, during our second night, the drinking water bottles were not refilled. Imagine, going back to the property tired from a tour and there's no drinking water. This is despite the arrangement was the water will be refilled every morning. I made a suggestion to just give us a 5-gallon water so that we have ample supply of drinking water. It's not out of whims that we requested this, we can buy at the store. But the nearest store is almost a kilomoter away. 3. Electricity and wifi connectivity - a day prior our check out, there's power outage from 5AM to 6PM. Since this is a beachfront property, it wasn't that hot. However, my concern is on the water. Due to power outage, the supply of water was also out. It could have been better if the owner upon knowing the situation (in fact, the residents of Siargao were pre-advised of the power outage), provided us big water containers to fill before the power outage.
The property itself is beautiful. You get to live alone in a beach front property. Sleep with the music of the ocean waves hit the shores. The beach area is also good for surfing. The owner is also accommodating with our concerns.
