Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsBreakfast is very basic. We were warned about the roosters, which you have in many places in Philippines. And they gave earplugs during check-in which is good service! But you can still hear them if you’re a light sleeper.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great check-in and help with booking activities and free transport shuttle. Nice spacious building with good size pool. Room is good size and bed was comfy.

LuxembourgOur room was located to the neighbours which were listening really loud music which was really annoying.
We liked the pool. Furthermore it was nice to organise our activities and taxi to the airport via the reception. Good and quick laundry service.

PhilippinesThe location is near to the Moalboal bus stop but you have to take a trike. It's far from the beach but place is so quiet for relaxation. You can ask for a reception to get a trike and drive you to Panagsama beach or White beach. You can also order food at the same price from the restaurant with delivery. The plated breakfast was so good and they offer unlimited drinks at the reception area.

United Arab EmiratesOnly thing to mention will be a mini bar in room would be a bonus. But otherwise we loved the relaxed vibe.
So comfortable, feels like home. Loved the free flowing coffee/juice station. Breakfast in the morning was great. Also appreciated the shuttle that took us to Panagsama beach in the Mornings. The shutle also dropped us off to get food. Staff is very helpful and will always try and assist you.

United StatesThe hotel still doesn't have lunch or dinner on site but you can get food delivered here.
We like the easy access to everything. They offered many tour options and services (like laundry, massage, motorbike rental). We also liked the availability of drinking water, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, etc whenever we wanted. The rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. Overall highly recommend it!

United KingdomThe place is 15min away from the main area where the pubs and resto are, however, it is good for relaxing since it’s in quiet location (just expect farm animals sounds around the area because technically it’s a province).
Staffs are very helpful with your needs (e.g. airport transfers, motorbike).

NetherlandsWe really liked the location of the hotel a bit further away from the very busy parts of town, but close enough to reach the center and beach in about 10 minutes by tuktuk. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, breakfast was delicious and it was great to have a swimming pool.

IrelandThe property is a bit far outside of Maolboal main tourist street so you have to get a tuk tuk every day and every evening as it is too far to walk. This is not a big deal as tuk tuks are cheap but it is just good to know when you are booking.
Lovely clean and comfortable room! The staff were very friendly and helpful, they helped us plan our snorkelling and canyonering activities. The pool is nice to chill out at and cool down (however it would be better to have more pool beds/chairs)

United KingdomShower wasn't super powerful but it's certainly not the worst we've had in Asia! There are roosters living very close to the hotel which woke us up pretty early in the morning. It's not the hotels fault but worth considering.
The rooms were lovely and big - comfy bed with good aircon. The hotel itself is really nice with a good pool and breakfast area. The staff were brilliant - they booked us a Canyonnering tour (which was amazing) and a taxi into main moalboal which was cheap and turned up very quickly. The staff also ordered dinner for us which was great and have us plates and cutlery so we could eat it in the dining area. Free tea, coffee, water and juice all day too. Breakfast was good with multiple options made to order. It's about a 10 minute drive from main moalboal (for the sardines run) but it's very easy to get a taxi and there is a mall just round the corner with a supermarket and fast food options.

United KingdomMy son had a nosebleed and the sheets got blood on them. I paid 1000 pesos for the damage as I alerted them to the bloodstain. I believe this was fair. There are atms, all the modern needs around. Very cheap souvenirs in Gaisano mall. Just a sidenote for information, if you book a room for 4, this means 1 bed and 2 single fan mattresses on the floor, it is very comfortable and I had little kids that loved the experience
Rufana suites was perfect for our family. We did not want to stay in the chaos of panagasama beach. We wanted access to local amenities as we were travelling with young children. Rufana is located close to a huge mall, food places and pharmacies etc. They have a massive clean pool and it was so nice that kids despite not speaking each other's languages would meet and play in the pool together. Breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared, you could have waffles or toast, boiled or fried eggs with sausages, pork or hot dog. They offered free hot drinks, juice and water all day long. The concierge was manned 24 hours. The staff are extremely helpful. They really go out of their way to ensure you have a great time. We booked out own day trips as wanted private rather than a group. We did a waterfalls tour exploring all the waterfalls in the area. It has been a kind of dry season so aguinid was very low in water so we did some canyoneering there. Inambakahn was just magnificent, the best we have seen and Kawasan was very overhyped and too busy in my opinion. Pangasama beach for the sardine run was pure chaos. To see how tourists treat the environment was actually quite shocking to me. Boats pulling up on people snorkeling, crowds of people chasing one turtle. I could not wait to leave the sardine run to be honest. I really advise you go at 6am. Tours start operating from 8am and there is literally no etiquette or safety. Please do not take your children in that chaos. We noticed that many people did not know how to swim or snorkel and the guides were pulling them on floats, Many a person got tangled. A tuk tuk from panagasama beach to rufana was 200 pesos. From cebu city the journey there was 3 hours. I would absolutely stay here again. Special shoutout to CJ for helping make my stay so comfortable.
