Sometimes it takes a few minutes for the staff to open the door. But it is understandable for a small family run place.

Have to ring the bell to get in every time - great for security but I felt bad having to get the owners attention every time I came back from a walk about. Area is a little further from centre, but it's a crazy and busy district with all sorts of interesting local activities going on around.

Nice owner, good sized dormitory with comfy bed, great little breakfast, and gold facilities all round. Excellent value for money

It's so quiet and peaceful. A beautiful space. The staff are wonderful and one of them speaks English well. There's a garden with a friendly dog, chickens, budgies and guinea pigs.

The owner was particularly helpful and warm and willing to sacrifice his own time on new year’s eve to help me find a bus back to Lima

It was very loud. It’s on a narrow alley that seemed to echo any street noise directly into our room and made it really hard to sleep.

The adorable puppy is obviously number one. Otherwise, I really liked the location near the market and also the combis to various hikes. The room was big and the central garden area was nice too.

The only things that wasn’t great were some of the bathroom features/fixtures. Specific to my room, the automatic sink was a little too strong, and the shower would stream water out into the bathroom on all but the lowest setting. There also wasn’t a towel hook. Overall, not huge things, just quality of life stuff.

Everything! The owners and other staff are so friendly and compassionate, and their dog is adorable! My room - 206 - was so comfortable and quiet, not to mention so clean. It felt like I was the first one to use the room’s bathroom. Impressive. Location is so close to everything, yet tranquil, and the garden/balcony is a wonderful place to relax. I will definitely be returning!

There's little insulation against cold or noise in the rooms. We didn't mind because we needed to get used to the cold for hikes, but it could annoy others.

Big kitchen, very hit shower and gracious hosts who let you use common facilities when waiting for the night bus after checking out.

We were not able to find out how/if hot water works.

Great location-near mercado and bus stations. We could leave our things in a storage while leaving for mountain hike. Nice view from a terrace. Comfortable chill area,patio and kitchen available. Good breakfast. Cute little puppy🙂

The place is both calm and welcoming. The people woring at the reception are extremely kind and helpful! special mention for the rooftop with a nice view.
