Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe morning ladies were not as friendly or helpful as their coworkers at night, and they didn't know as much about popular tourist information. My son says the ladies were professional but not friendly they were "cold" (when I had a request it seemed like she was upset). In the morning they didn't help us with the luggage. The rooms were clean but not "warm" which is ok but a little "personal touch" will be a nice detail. At night there are some "night workers" so don't go out with your kids at night. Because this is a centric place there is a lot of car noise, beeping etc
The attendants at night when we arrived were very helpful, friendly, and courteous. The hotel doesn't have an elevator but the young men helped us with the luggage, and gave me options I how to pay even gave us directions to "money exchange" places. About the room location: the ones available were on the 4th floor since we are not that young we chose the option of two separate rooms but on the, lower floors (2nd and 3rd). The location was very convenient to the main interest places like "San Martin Plaza", Catedral, food places, souvenirs Santo Domingo Church and Monastery, and Santa Rosa de Lima place. many places can be reached by walking a few blocks. It is a clean place. The breakfast was very good, two eggs, (compared to other places where there was only one egg per person) papaya juice, two breads, butter, jelly coffee or tea, or coffee and milk. My cousin didn't feel well enough to come downstairs and I asked if we could have his breakfast to take to him but they refused (we went to another restaurant later on and bought some food for him ) they could give us the option to sell it to us but they also were not that friendly maybe they are too busy? There are convenience stores and pharmacies nearby. I consider this hotel to have a good value for the service, location, and cleanliness.

MaltaVery nice staff. We managed to communicate even though we do not speak Spanish. Offered a good price for taxi pick up from the airport but unfortunately we did not meet the driver and ended up paying more than we would have liked (note to self: look for hotel pick up next time). Didn't manage to have breakfast because we left super early but reception called us to let us know our transport was there.

ArgentinaThe room is comfortable and clean, has all the necesities. The location is good, very close to the main square in Lima. The security is also good. At night it´s not recommendable to walk on the street alone in this area but during the daytime it´s fine. The hotel has a doorman to open for you when you come in and go out. The staff is helpful and kind.

United StatesBecause it was very well done, nice, neat, fresh, & in great working order; the bathroom is a "squeeze" & when taking a seat it was necessary to sit at an angle because the facing wall was extremely close for my 6`-1"frame... a minor issue considering the great value received!
location was very short walking distance to a major plaza & shopping area, city bus lines and well known Blvd. (so obtaining taxis was super easy), close to restaurants AND a very nice mall. The desk/manager of Hotel spoke both Spanish & English (my only language) provided me a very much appreciated area feature map & marked many favorite attractions and areas that visitors likely would enjoy visiting!! Super clean & neat, comfortable beds/room, Breakfast/hotel restaurant, Wi-Fi, Super Service for an even more Super price! I initially booked for 1 night but stayed an additional two! Also felt like a very safe, quiet & comfortable environment for single, couples, or families.

GreeceWe were given a room that had a window to the inner aley of the hotel, but still the room was perfectly sunny and (thankfully) less noisy. No elevator, but staff helped with the luggage.
Extremely friendly and helpfull staff, even though they don't speak English. Very clean rooms, and room/towels-cleaning every day. Great location with supermarkets, food and the main plaza in easy walking distance. Good breakfast (2 little breads, 1 egg, butter+jam, juice, coffee).

Clean hotel. Basic room but nice enough, working showers with hot water. Comfortable bed and Lima can get quite cold so they have soft quilts to go on top! Although not all of the staff spoke English, they were all so lovely and helped me out a lot as a solo female traveller. Breakfast was good - scrambled eggs, bread, butter, jam, juice and coffee! Close walk to the historic centre and a big supermarket. Google will tell you that the surrounding area isn’t safe after dark. I walked back alone as it was getting dark and I personally didn’t feel unsafe as it’s a very busy area, just the street the hotel is on is down a few quiet roads - just my experience! I also used their airport shuttle service - cost 75 sols and had no issues there!

United StatesAffordable but a bit pricy considering its quality.
It’s a basic hotel, no much to expect. Small room with a shower ,two small soaps, no shampoo. No hot water ( it’s common in Peru) and superficially clean. It’s great located near the historical center, so 10 min walk to the main destination - hotel Bolivar ( just enter and see inside), plaza de armas and main church. The good thing is its location. If you walked much you can come back to hotel to decompress for one hour and go back to the main plaza to stroll around and to eat in the restaurants. They are affordable but not too cheap, and waiters ask for tips -know about it. You can pay in CC. So if the meal costs 55 soles just add 5 soles to the bill. I did not exchanged any dollar and paid by my CC. Hotel has a kitchen and you can eat there, regular dishes and regular prices. Breakfast was included: 2 eggs, bread and coffee. Also typical.
