We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Good location, it was far from the Palaza Armas but you can go by mototaxi (6 soles one way) aboyt 10 minutes to the city center.

This is a very basic hotel. The room was spacious and bed comfortable, however there was a lot of mould growing on the walls and water came up through the tiled floor in the bathroom. I travelled with a friend and in her room the window which was in the bathroom looked out into the corridor. She was in the shower and a man could see her from the floor above. There was no blind to close so she was exposed. So if you do stay here be careful with what room you get. There is wifi but it was very in and out of signal. The room is also extremely hot. There os a fan so if you sleep directly under it you are okay. However I am sure that is the same in all of the hotels in the area as the temperatures are extremely high. If I was to return to Puerto Maldonado, I would not book this hotel again.

United KingdomAir conditioning did not work (advertised as having it). Window did not shut and had pipes through it (not good in location with mosquito risk). Plugs hanging off walls. Really hot due to lack of air conditioning. Male reception staff was unhelpful and did not seem to care (one of the few people I would say this about that I’ve met in Peru). So bad we paid for an alternative along the road - which was far better.

GreeceFrom outside this hotel is not very good looking but the bedrooms was very comfortable, clean, with huge comfort beds and hot water in the bathrooms. Highly recommend to travelers who want to spend a night to Puerto Maldonado and continue the next day for a two or three nights tour to Amazon jungle. For the difficult circumstances of the life in Puerto Maldonado was perfect! Thank you Tambopata Inn!

United StatesThe location is far from the plaza de armas where All the atms are. However, it’s very inexpensive to get a taxi to any part of Puerto Maldonado so it wasn’t an issue at all. The distance from the center makes it quieter and less busy atmosphere so it was a plus as opposed to being a negative. I didn’t like that they added 30 soles charge for my animal.
The hotel is immaculately clean and very comfortable. lots of area upstairs for relaxing outside of your room in a communal area. Great value for money and the staff were friendly and helpful. They brought a dog bed and water n food bowels for my dog. This was a nice touch but I had to pay for it… 30 soles extra was charged for my stay that I wasn’t happy about but receiving the dog bed for loan for the night made up for my disappointment. The breakfast was excellent!!!

United StatesThe coffee at breakfast was terrible, even worse than instant coffee. The location is far from the center and the street is mostly mechanic shops. There are no good nearby places to eat. It's not a pleasant area to walk in.
The staff was friendly and always helpful. The food at breakfast is good and there is some variety day to day. The room was as described and had a good fan but for the same price there were other nearby hotels with air conditioning.
