Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

BrazilI did not feel secure. The location is not on a safe zone. The property manager was a bit clumsy setting up payment options and in the morning she woke me up. Also, I was not aware that it was a shared bathroom (I may have missed it while reading). But I did not felt safe, as Uber drivers alerted me about it (I took 3 Ubers while I was on that property, all over them told me it was not "super" safe). Bonus: she tried to set me up with a taxi driver that was between 35-70% more expensive than asking a Uber.
The price. That was the only thing.

PanamaI live in western Panama and made this reservation for an overnight stay before flying to David the following morning. This isn't a hotel, but rather a rented room in the owner's home, with an additional apartment annex available for rent. While located close to the Tocumen airport, it's necessary to use a taxi to come and go, because it wasn't safe to walk to the property. One of the owner's friends provided taxi service from the airport for an additional $20.00 round-trip. This was a fair price (as of March 2023), and the driver was reliable, communicative, and friendly. The room was very clean and with air conditioning, but also had a chemical "air freshener" plugged in. There was bottled water and snacks available for an extra charge, but no way to walk to a restaurant for a meal. When I asked the owner about hot water for the shower, she told me that there was "warm water." I discovered an on-demand electric shower (the so-called "suicide shower") which had not been turned on. I switched it on, and it worked fine, but someone not familiar with this device might not have known what to do. All in all, this is a reasonable lodging option for travelers with luggage and looking for an alternative to the overpriced hotels near the airport. For me, it was a disappointment. The owner did not provide a receipt and did not honor Panama's retiree discount when I asked about it. The next time around, since I travel without checked luggage, I plan to take the metro to the Via Argentina stop and stay at one of many hotels in that area which would cost less, with the retiree discount, give me access to food services and shops, and be less costly than the $68.00 total cost for this stay + taxi.
The property and the room I rented were very clean.

Panamathere isn’t much to do in walking distance, which is fine if you’re just overnighting before a flight.
Very clean, comfortable bed, snacks available for sale in the apartment. Perfect for a single traveler, very reasonably priced and near to the airport, in a quiet Panamanian neighborhood.
