Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

New ZealandThere was a smell that we couldn't get rid of and wasn't sure where it was. The cleanliness of the place was okay but could've been better. The parking was also an issue with other cars parking in our space so we had to park out front.
Loved the heaters in the room as well as the heat pump downstairs. Having a washing and dryer was very convienent as well and how spacious the Airbnb was especially the rooms.

New ZealandNot clean at all - bugs smeared over the walls, blood stains on the bathroom wall underneath the mirror, stains on the ground around the toilet and sticky benches. There was also a gross smell we couldn’t get rid of in the bathroom. Inadequate blankets and sheets on the beds. The TV wasn’t working for the majority of our stay. I wouldn’t recommend staying here to anybody - we ended up finding elsewhere to stay for most of our stay.

New ZealandIt's a nice unit, but the cleanliness could have been better. We were greeted by a massive hair ball at the top of the stairs, with the odd coffee spill marks on the floor down stairs, the benchtop was sticky and there was hand prints all over the walls. All three dining room chairs are very flimsy. The microwave is located in a spot under the bench where there is no power point to plug it into. The TV remote wasn't working properly so we struggled to watch TV. Inadequate blankets on the beds and no top sheets. Bedside tables were broken and missing draws and the neighbours dog also barked all night.

Whilst the unit was nice and clean the area left a lot to be desired. Driving back at midnight after an event Firstly there is a massive party and burnouts in the street.then the person in the next unit had parked their ute complete with 2 mental as pit bulls in the back hard against our unit and in our parking spot.the dogs terrified my 10 year old grandaughter as well as ourselves we thouhht they were going to force their way out of the partly open window. . Whilst the ute was moved, we were plagued by barking dogs all night. Whilst tea and coffee was provided th ere was no milk so a waste of time. Dinning chairs were very flimsy and one was broken. The beds were tidy but inadequate blankets provided. Sorry a mixed review.

New ZealandWe had no power upstairs (bathroom/bedrooms), when contacting the property I was told this isn’t a hotel - I can’t just send someone to fix, we checked in on a Friday afternoon. Also the parking is SHOCKING! Each unit has a car park however it is TINY so anything other than a Suzuki swift will not fit which means other units park in other units spaces. Parking on the road is also very limited as there is a school opposite the driveway. Someone eventually came to fix the power issue - he got lights but no power points working upstairs (which meant no heating & it was freezing upstairs) when addressing this with the property they didn’t bother to respond or fix, my partner finally figured out that the heated towel rail was sparking in the bathroom (health & safety fire issue) which was causing the power issues, we turned this off and we then had power restored. I raised this with the property manager who didn’t want to know about it and ignored our concerns as there are 4 other properties attached to this one that they also manage. This is a shoddy new build property, while the pictures appear lovely the reality is much different. Property manager (a real estate company) is also extremely rude and ignored us as soon as I said I wasn’t happy and wanted to vacate the property after only 2 hours and wanted a refund - the owner is based overseas and also not contactable. Our neighbours in the next unit were also unhappy with their stay.
It had a washer and dryer - which was good. Shower water pressure is good.
