It would be good if the kitchen could get an air fryer as a lot of lodges has this now and they are not expensive. The shower was a bit small with only hooks and no bench to put your toiletries on.

This lodge was lovely, clean and big. Our room was clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable. The lounge and kitchen areas were big. The kitchen was well stocked. There were plenty of areas like balconies with table and chairs to sit outside to enjoy the view. Plenty area to park your car. Staff really friendly and I would stay here again,

Could smell the other people's cooking late into the night (nice smells) we are early to bed people and we were hearing people quite late into the night. Others wouldn't mind it, wasn't very loud just noticeable.

The showers had no dry area to get changed in but not a big issue

They send check in details via text message rather than email, travelling from the uk we didn’t receive this and had to wait a few hours before able to get in our room. Not a bad thing but worth reporting

The lack of insulation in the building. The winters must be very cold and summers can be very hot.

The spacious common areas were great and responsiveness of the host.

Bed could have been a little better but was still pretty great. Maybe some rooms could have the option to have a mini fridge as an extra cost item, i dont enjoy public fridges in case of stolen food

Very close to the springs, you can walk. The room was comfortable, had everything we needed. Everyone around was friendly.

Could do with some sharp knife’s in the kitchen

Relaxed atmosphere, reception area smelt very good, clean, lots of out door seating which was perfect during the sunny weather. Room was spotless and amazing view of the mountains, outdoor balconies located near the rooms too. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you needed to make your own food and lots of fridge space. Perfect location to the pools, shops, bars, restaurants and to all the walks - map of all the walks outside the property. All the staff were super friendly and helpful

The beds were uncomfortable as the mattresses are quite thin - fine for our 14 year old but not so much for us.

Kakapo Lodge is spotlessly clean and though there were a number of people staying it was super quiet. Our room (no.15), for two adults and a teen, was big - certainly plenty of room for us. The upstairs lounge was next to us so this is a perfect room for families. The heater warmed the room up quickly. It's a very sunny room and gets warm during the day. The cooking facilities are great everything was there that we needed and more. It was a short walk to the pools and town. We would definitely stay here again.

Maybe a gradual upgrade of furnishings - painting the base of the beds or adding padded valances, updating the curtains, adding handles to the inside of the toilet and shower doors

The bed matress was firm, which some people might prefer.

So close to town, pools and eateries. Easy access to rooms. Welcoming lounge room and warm fireplace as you walk into the building. Open kitchen/dining and rooms were very clean. Staff were friendly. Totally recommend this place for staying at.

Everything was very clean and facilities all worked as expected. Place was very peaceful and quiet at night. Mattress was firm, which we personally like, but maybe not ideal for anyone wanting a very soft bed. Location is walking distance to shops and hot pools. Great value for what we paid, very satisfied.
