Stayed in room 7, footsteps from the kitchen (above) were undeniably loud, sometimes until the middle of night. Staff keep closing the only window for air circulation without notice.

Comfy bed. Nice kitchen with enough equipment. Very clean bathroom and amenities.

The rooms got cold very quickly. The space was very limited. The showers were poor. They need to be looked at. The water pressure was low, the cleanliness was low and the bathroom was always wet when someone had used them.

The location was perfect as it was in a quiet enough location that the traffic was not felt. The room was a double bunk and it was very tight for space. The storage facilities under the bunk beds were however very big. The dining area and kitchen was ideal.

Very good yet quiet location (not obvious as for Queenstown), cosy heated rooms, comfortable bathrooms and kitchen.

Needs good clean and refirbish. Place is a poorly designed rabbit Warren. Certainly not a luxury backpackers.

Many roads around the property were close for long redevelopment/maintenance work, so car access was very difficult to find. That was not the fault of the property, surely. But the problem is they did not provide any recommendation for us in advance and there was no staff stationing at the reception or responding to Booking.com chat. During our stay, smoke detector also disfunctioned and forced all guests to evacuate in late night time. Only one out of two bedrooms is air-conditioned. Most window blinds and washing machine were broken. Rice cooker in the kitchen and insect nets at all windows should be great addition.

The room is spacious and equipped with living and dining areas. There are two bedrooms in our apartment. The bathroom is large and well-ventrilated.

Very cramped spaces in the bedroom, could have better storage for packs etc

I was a bit taken aback with the closeness of the beds and the lack of space in the bedrooms. The curtains across the bunks were a good idea for privacy. The lounge and kitchen areas were comfortable, and it was a bonus being able to use those spaces during the day. The location was great.

Bit dirty in rooms. Need a bit of a deeper clean around the bed frames. But all the common areas were great.

Smaller and not so busy. Friendly staff and all facilities available and working. Close to main part of town without being right in the middle. Beds were comfy too

Overpriced private room. Kitchen and lounge area area are nice. Bathrooms are OK but showers etc could do with a deep clean. Considering the price, have stayed in much more well looked after hostels. Bed was comfy and room was warm and clean.

The rooms could use more plugs. Adding an extension cable with more sockets would be helpful.

Exactly as advertised. If you want cheap hostel accommodation in Queenstown that's clean with a comfortable bed, decent facilities and very central, this is a great option.

The rooms were a bit cramped with smallish luggage storage space under the beds. Could have used another bathroom. Shower curtain was a bit off.

The hostel had everything you need from a hostel and friendly staff. The kitchen was well stocked and there were both indoor and outdoor common spaces to pass your time.

A bit different from the Haka House concept. The curtains are older and less sturdy. The personal space to keep items safe under the bed are drawers instead of just lids that open, less convenient to use.

I booked a private room and it was okay. Located right beside the kitchen and outdoor area so it was noisy until half 10. Great location to explore all restaurants and shops. You have to pay separately for parking or find parking around the town.
