Being very picky, the Cornflakes were stale.

Very comfortable and clean. Immaculate presentation. Double glazing kept road noise down. We slept very well. Will definitely stay again when we are in Kaikoura again. Thanks!

It is quite close to SH 1, which is handy to get in to town I guess.

Really nicely equipped chalet, comfortable, very clean and stunning views of the hills. We really enjoyed interacting with the deer, alpaca and sheep.

Beautiful cabin set in an idyllic location, cosy modern furnishings, comfy bed, large soak bath and lots of other goodies inside to surprise and delight- very thoughtfully stocked and tastefully decorated. The hosts responded quickly and efficiently as we booked quite late in the day. Fabulous stay, highly recommend.

The animals were the highlight of this place, were used to seeing deer in the hills not up close and personal feeding from our hands, it made for a great experience!

Absolutely loved it, booked it the day of at 9am and was messaged before 12 to say it was ready to check in wherever! Spotless, beautiful, spacious, added extra little touches to make your stay even more comfortable, big TV with netflix. An unexpected but amazing aspect of the property is the very sweet pet deer, sheep and alpacas outside with feed to give them (they love it!). The outside of the chalet is immaculate as well, the bed is super comfy, the views are fab, the host is very responsive, huge bath, big kitchen (no stovetop or oven, however has microwave, toaster and electric frying pan, tea and coffee things too), washing machine- the list goes on and on. Our fav stay so far in the South Island and by far the nicest in Kaikoura!

The host was super helpful and responsive. A lot of nice complimentary items for breakfast. The facility was very new and pleasant. Nice detail of giving food to feed the animals giving the feeling of more involvement with the environment.

Nothing, everything was perfect. As a comment/suggestion only, one small detail that could be added to the furnishings is a small side table or freestanding shelf in the bathroom to put toiletries or other overflow things on.

Absolutely excellent in every way. Perfect purpose newly built chalets, very spacious, private and comfortable. Location was great for us, outside of town but close to everything. Very pretty mountain views.

It was well laid out and very comfortable. We loved the washer dryer and feeding the animals. The bed was comfortable and the place cooled off well at night. We also saw the southern cross from the back deck which was really cool. Good parking and great communication from the hosts.

The accommodation was top class being very roomy and fitted out superbly. There is a large bathroom with a great shower and a lovely deep bath to relax in. The hosts thoughtfully provided a lovely range of goodies to enhance our stay including fresh fruit, bread, milk, breakfast items and beer and wine. The kitchen and living area was practical and roomy and while there is no stove the electric frying pan and microwave oven was fine for our needs. A very comfortable bed in a large well appointed bedroom. Feeding the animals was a rewarding experience while the view was magic. Overall an exceptional experience.

The noise from the highway could be an issue to some but the sound proofing from the windows was not bad. Did not have much issues with it. The washing machine though.. requires some work. It vibrated really hard while washing our clothes we had to stop the wash halfway.

We absolutely love this property. It’s just right off the highway and a short drive to the main town centre. Everything was clean and neat. Host provided us a well stocked pantry, clear instructions for check in, and even feed for the farm animals. It was so comfortable and spacious I wished we could stay longer.

That we did not stay longer!

This is by far the best accommodation we experienced in a long time. Gorgeous setting with stunning views of the snowcapped mountains and within close range of the beaches and cafes. The cottage is more like a mini-home with every amenity you can think of, right down to gowns, slippers and earplugs. The hosts even made sure there is animal feed for the deer and lamas. The fridge was stocked with items for a decent breakfast and again, the best we have encountered thus far. We give this unit two thumbs way, way up!
