The springs in the queen bed rolls together when one person moves or gets up, interupting the other person sleeping. They provide capsule milk which is not enough and not the best for morning cereal. It was a cold winter night and the wall heater was just not strong enough. Had to switch on the small wall heat pump as well to get some warmth. No hair dryer in the room. The shower spray was not strong enough.

Closest motel to the railway station. Nice that the motel provides free transport to the railway station at 7.30am to catch the 8.15am Tranzalpine. There are many food outlets on Lincoln Road just a 10min walk from the motel. The tasty and affordable Afghan Restaurant is nearby. The couple that run the motel is friendly enough. Shower had instant heating.

Initially upset by the stairs which were covered by a ragged carpet. Not a good introduction for an elderly guest - (94), but the accommodation exceeded our expectations.

The unit was well-designed and maintained.

Staff were lovely and helpful. Accomodation is pet friendly too which is wonderful!

The only downside was that there were only 2 pillows which were 'thin'. There was 1 small long life milk in the fridge, but we take fresh milk with us so it didn't affect us. The reception is not staffed after 10pm so we couldn't get more from them. The outside of the motel is overdue a refurbishment which could put some people off.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. There were 2 chairs with a table to eat at and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. You could easily make your own meals if you wanted to. We had booked the courtesy coach to pick us up and return us to the motel late at night. It turned up promptly and the driver was pleasant.

There were breadcrumbs in the cutlery drawer. The shower head had to be hand heals as the slide was broken. The garbage container in the kitchen hadn’t been properly cleaned from the previous occupants and had a sticky substance on it which attracted ants. Fortunately, they only occupied the garbage container. There is a sign in the bathroom talking about “daily” servicing of the room - this most certainly did not occur.

We were doing the Trans Alpine train trip and the motel was close by. We were given a one bedroom suite with a separate living room, which suited us as one of us is an early riser.

The shower was "heat at source" which was a bit hard to work out how to get the right temperature
