Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaPlease provide an option for drinking water that does not involve plastic usage. Everything else was excellent!
I stayed at the Radisson because someone recommended it, and I wanted to be in the Lazimpat area near Thamel for a few days. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from Thamel, and situated on a quiet street off Lazimpat. The street itself has every thing you might need: restaurants, shops, travel agent, cafe, etc. A very nice Japanese restaurant and an excellent pastry shop are right on/adjacent to the premises. The hotel is well maintained and we had a room on the 7th floor, which was quiet. The room comes equipped with a water kettle. There is a small minibar/fridge and we appreciated the bottled water provided, but also think that the amount of plastic that is generated from the bottles is probably avoidable (by providing an RO or such facility on each floor, or just providing two larger bottles instead of several small ones ...there has to be a way to reduce plastic usage!). The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Wifi worked smoothly overall, except for a national wide outtage on the first evening (that cannot be helped), although it was a tad slow at times. Kudos to the staff. They were excellent and really lovely people. Housekeeping was efficient and made up the room when we were away in the mornings. The restaurant staff served breakfast with a smile and remembered small requests made the first day on the subsequent days! Breakfast was sumptuous! The hotel has a swimming pool (outdoor) and a very well-equipped gym. But the gym looks to be open to members who are not hotel guests as well, and as a result, tends to get a little crowded in the mornings. It was a little difficult to find the space to use the workout bench! No issues with cardio equipment though (there are three treadmills). There is both a sauna and a steam room, which are clean and excellent. There is a jacuzzi, but despite notices posted prominently, people were getting into these without wearing appropriate swimwear. In all, an excellent stay close to the heart of Kathmandu.

Very friendly staff. Right from reception desk to housekeeping and room service, every hotel employee was very cooperative and courteous. Breakfast spread was superb. Cab arranged by the hotel for local visits made our trip quite enjoyable.

IndiaOur Indian Credit or debit cards do not work there?? Inspite of having International payments on all my cards activated, I believe Indian Bank cards are not valid for payment in Nepal & Bhutan. There has to be some alternative method, other than cash?
The staff was excellent very well trained, extremely courteous and efficient. The food was to my liking and full marks to the Chef for the same.

MalaysiaThe main entrance, from the main road, is horrible. You wont expect there is a small junction / path that leading to the hotel from the main road. The narrow road/path can fit 1 vehicle (car) at a time and if you walk, just becareful if there are vehicle in front or behind you.
Would be good if the staff at the front counter be more friendly. For the concierge, bellboy and security; they are awesome; Very polite and presentable. They have standard breakfast, with local delicacy. Room was well maintained, clean and the TV channels, they are awesome. I can spend whole day staying in the hotel with all the movies (but that is not supposed to be). Access to local food and international cuisine, they are all nearby; Japanese food restaurant is just opposite the hotel, fine-dining - Italian restaurant, Thai food restaurant (inside another hotel next to it), local food, money exchange shop, grocery shop, souvenir shops, café, etc. they are all nearby. Don't expect an extraordinary café or shops, they are just an ordinary shops with limited choices.

United States of AmericaPrice I paid was higher than the group rate organized by Overseas Adventure Travel, which began the following day. My room overlooked a construction site, and someone was making a shocking amount of noise at the site around midnight.
Breakfast and location were superb.

South AfricaWe enjoy walking around when on holiday & found this hotel to be a good few km away from Thamel. Not impressed with location. We moved to another hotel on our last night in Kathmandu just for the experience of a local-brand hotel & wow! We were totally impressed with everything about this hotel - 5-star, 5 min walk to Thamel & 25% cheaper. Very quickly realised we did not get value for money at Radisson & wished we had stayed at this local-brand family-led hotel all along.
Room was clean & fresh.

The staff at front desk were really great. They arranged a car for sight seeing, provided valuable tips for things to see and do in Kathmandu and even helped with currency exchange. The buffet breakfast had so many options to choose from!
