Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandWater from the shower leaking out as there is no raised panel to funnel the water. Other than that it’s fine. I booked the king room but the bed is just 2 single beds put into one, although it’s comfortable enough. The fridge doesn’t work.
Reasonable price, about €125/per night for our bank holiday weekend. 6-7 minutes walk to the train/bus/tram station. Located in a quiet, upmarket suburb. Very convenient to get to Vigelands Park Breakfast is extremely good. Lots of choices and caters for various dietary requirements. Smoked salmon on par with Irish quality salmon from the Atlantic ocean. Staff are lovely, helpful and pleasant including the room attendance.

SpainI did not like my bathroom. It was much too small, and there was no vanity to keep your toiletries. The shower curtain was one foot above the floor and, consequently, the water flowed all over the floor.
The staff was very nice and helpful, including the breakfast staff that went out of its way to help me as I have mobility issues. My room was spacious and clean. The bed was fine. There is a wide range of stores of all kinds within walking distance, although many close early it being a business district. Overall, the facilities are nice, although a face lift would so wonders.

NetherlandsHad to buy a beer at the hotel bar instead of using a minibar in the room which cost an astronomical amount of money. Breakfast didnt have much options for me as unfortunately I dont eat gluten and dont like eggs, so I skipped after the first morning.
Room was comfortable and clean. Nicely isolated and quiet. Facilities worked well such as the iron and the shower. Bed was very comfortable and the room was a good temperature.

Italythe only real issue is about soundproofing. In the early morning you can clearly hear the doors slamming and this woke me up many times. for a 4* hotel and the price payed, this is unaccetable (at least they should provide earplugs). The bathroom also is not that of a 4* hotel. Anyway it is functional, as the whole room, but bathroom is tiny and more typical of an old fashioned 3* hotel. Of course bidet is missing, but I would expect more space where to put things. Again, for the price paid it is not enough and not coherent with hotel category. If it costed less and was a 3*hotel (as it was before refurbishing), then it would be perfect. Price quality ratio is not good, particularly on booking.com, but Oslo is expensive and I guess this area more than others (even the city centre is even more costly). Finally, as the water is drinkabkle from the tap, they do not even offer a bottle of water for night in the fridge (which I find absurd) so that they force you to buy it at the reception at a crazy high price! This is not acceptable again for a 4* hotel in my opinion, but maybe it is a typical habit in Norway, but everywhere at least a welcome water bottle is given, in Italy and Greece even in 2* hotels! Also, the taste of the tap water was not good at all... I would not stay again here if visiting Oslo for holidays, at leat at the high price which I payed (before seeing my room).
the hotel is quite newly refurbished, rooms are big and modern, the king size bed was super comfy. Breakfast is compelte and good quality weven not excellent as many thinbgs seem to bve industrial. Even the fish was not bad nor excellent, anyway it offers a good sweet products selection whic is not easy to find in Northern Europe (at least in Ireland and UK). the hotel is located in avery quiet are and the position is excellent both for offices in Skoyen but also for beaches and museums in the wonderful Bygdøy peninsula. The room was super modern and had a terrace and dark curtains which filtered sunlight properly. The cleaning standards were very high, towels were always fresh and changed every day even without reqyest, which is good in my opinion. Of course one can choose to keep the, but without the sign on the door they change them (proper policy). Finally the staff is really super, all the girls are very kind and helpful to every request, from the digital invoice to printing my boarding pass. The cleaning service is super and the lady was really polite and cleaned even the floor in each room, which is not common. Last but not least, even if it was a vacation day in Norway at the reception you can always find fresh water bottles and sandwiches which are really good, at least compared to what I spent to eat in an Asian restaurant nearby. I never tried the restaurant and bar (Skabos Hage) but I guess they offer good scandinavian food at fair prices compared to rubbish Asian food at very high prices. I suggest Scandic Syolist for who goes to Skoyen for business and work but not to tourists. I guess there are better options at lower prices, maybe a bit far away from the main attractions but you can exploit public transportations which are super efficient and save money which you will need to eat and drink and visit the city. If you are refunded on work travel this is a good option where to stay.

DenmarkWe were traveling w children btw 4-8y and had a family room. The darkning curtains wasn’t long enough to keep out the sunlight. The kids’ bunkbeds didn’t have polstring at the sides and the lowest bed did not have any side framing to protect a child from falling to the ground. Also parents double bed consisted of two separate beds placed side by side, making it difficult to co-sleep w children coming over during nights. It should have had a double topmadras in order to meet family needs when travelling w smaller children.
Very nice location close to public transportation, airport transport + everything you need, shopping, dining, beaches at Bygdøy and in walking distance to the Frogner area.

United KingdomThe restaurant and bar was closed on Saturdays and Sundays which I found super odd, and we were a bit gutted to find the high chair we’d used at breakfast the day before not cleaned when we came back the following morning (we’d quickly wiped it ourselves to not leave it too messy but it had just been put away by the looks of it).
Nice room, lovely reception staff, accommodating of small child though it didn’t seem like a typical family hotel. Great breakfast.
