Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

South AfricaThere was a coffee maker in the room but you needed to supply your own ingredients.
We were allowed to store our bicycle bags (for packing bikes for airplane travel) in the luggage room while we went on a multiday tour. This made logistics much easier. A bus left from just outside the hotel to the airport. I would recommend the hotel for a stay in Bergen if traveling with bicycles.

GuernseyHave to admit to feeling a bit duped on the hotel building. All the online pictures show it as being part of the Bryggen style of wooden buildings looking over the water. In fact is it basically a modern brick building hidden behind the front with just the bar linking through to the water. Rooms were facing into a courtyard. OK, but not what I was sold.
Couldn’t be in a better location right next to Bryggen. Airport bus stops right outside. Rooms cleans and well appointed. Decent breakfast options.

IndiaExcellent location, which was very important for us as we had less than a day in Bergen. Right next to the museum. Great facilities for a business hotel. Friendly staff. We ony had breakfast at the hotel, which was sumptuous with plenty of options for vegetarians. Managed to squeeze in a friendly conversation with the chef.

United StatesLounge pricing is far too expensive. Lobby and reception is continually busy and people hanging around and doing nothing but lounging is very off putting and a distraction. We also had to change rooms due to the never ending noise from our initial room near the elevators. A serious issue and ruins the experience greatly when you can’t sleep.
Location and staff were top rate. Breakfast is very good.
