Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIndustrial scale tourism so not in the least bit tranquil or cosy as the website promotes. Very overpriced for what the 'standard double room' rate includes which was a basic 'Travelodge' type room with a view of a car park and a crowded, unrelaxing breakfast buffet. Unhelpful reception staff who seemed reluctant to volunteer information unless asked direct questions. The spa is nothing special and too limited for the number of guests staying at the resort. Basically it is just a small pool, steam room, sauna and two outdoor hot tubs overrun with children having fun so not at all peaceful for adult guests. It costs 200NOK for a 90 minute slot and is virtually impossible to access after sking unless you book days in advance (the reception staff never thought to tell us that at the start of our stay when asked about the spa). This really should be included in the room rate but this resort is clearly geared for profit making rather than guest experience. The location means unless you drive down the toll road to Trysil (approx £6 per return journey) dinner opportunities are limited to those on offer in the resort. The 'all you can eat' buffet was 445NOK which is ridiculously expensive for an albeit extensive buffet of mass prepared, uninspiring food which was impossible to access any earlier than 8.15pm as the 6.15pm sitting was consistently fully booked. The Stabben Bar provided a very limited but better value for money menu with friendlier staff. However on our last night it seems I got food poisoning from the bar's beetroot risotto. Without analysing the risotto this might be difficult to prove conclusively however, given we had not eaten outside the resort for 3 days and it was clearly a case of food poisoning not illness, we are confident enough to have reported the incident to both the resort manager and the Norwegian Food Safety Authority. Hopefully this will not now happen to anyone else. Overall very disappointing.
Convenient location for easily accessing the easy beginner/nursery ski slopes and nearby cross country trails. The ski locker system is well organised and secure given the volume of people staying there.

United KingdomI’ve never known a hotel where you had to pay almost £30 for an adult and two children to go in the pool. This was a big negative for us.
Location excellent although ski resort not fully open even in late December so couldn’t make full use of it. The breakfast was ok and cleanliness good.

SwedenI have to say that I was very dissapointed by the whole experience offered by Radisson Mountain Resort Trysil. The hotel has a beautiful arhitecture but the staff, their lack of cleaning the rooms and their exorbitant prices for everything makes it a cold, irrelevant, never come back hotel, unfortunately. The hotel management should defintely reconsider their core values of being service minded and customer centric. We only had the feeling of being fooled, by the extremely high prices for the room, which is very small and it never gets cleaned, even though Corona restrictions are lifted! Except of taking money for spa, and also for "renting" the bathrobes, they even take money for the gym?!!!!A little gym room with just very few old machines, they dont even have an eliptical trainer. I am always training in the hotel gym and I have never paid for the hotelgym in 54 years of my life! We had to pay for playing pool, but everything was distroyed on the table but they still were taking money and renting the table. In a hotel which takes over 300 EUR per night for a little room! It is literally disgusting. The personnel is arrogant and without any training in how to talk with the customers to make the customer feel welcome and at home. I often choose Radisson Blu Hotels because of their nice standard, beautiful location and good rooms. Sorry but search for other places in Trysil, I am sure there may be other that are better.
The location of this hotel is very good, right on the slopes. On the other hand there is nothing else, just private cottages and a big road. The breakfast was great with something for everybody. For dinner, a buffet was offered, great options each evening, highly appreciated inspite of being quite expensive. The spa was beautiful but it comes with a fee inspite of paying A LOT of money for accomodation. I also want to say that the slopes are wonderful, good skiing at all levels, good skilift system and great rental system and skicard by Skistar.

United KingdomThe hotel was so full we couldn't get a table to eat dinner there any night, the advertised creche wasn't open and it was impossible to get access to the pool/spa facilities. Additionally the hotel is ski in/ski out which it is but to access the rest of the ski area you have to use a series of drag and t-bar lifts which are slow and frequently breaking down which leads to big queues to get up the slopes.
The apartment was clean, well appointed and quiet.

United KingdomThe heating didn't work in our room, we reported it to reception a couple of times who said they would have someone look at it but it wasn't sorted by the end of the week. Not the end of the world as the hotel was generally warm but would have been nice to get it sorted.
All the staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. The facilities were really nice and the food in the hotel was very good. The location was also excellent, well positioned for ski in/ski out!
