Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWe visited May 22, 23, and 24 before peak season starts June 1. While that is great to visit before June 1 to miss crowds, it is also the only time the resort has to do repairs and the bakery is not open yet. It would have be nice to have a place to jump into the sea. There is one on the boat dock but it was closed for repairs. We also would have enjoyed visiting the bakery, but it also does not open until June 1.
The resort location is quiet and secluded, which allows one to really enjoy the magnificence of the Lofoten Islands. The breakfast layout and location was exceptional. The hot tub/sauna was peaceful and well-located with views of the ocean. We enjoyed that we could go for nice walks and hikes right from our room. The food options on-site for dinner were always very nice.

United StatesMy bed.
The breakfast had a nice selection. The room did not have a view. The first cabin we were assigned, #23 had a VERY strong fish smell upon entering, we had to change rooms. #24 was adequate. I had the single bed and unfortunately, it was uncomfortable. We stayed 3 nights. Dinner options were limited. It would be nice to have salads offered in the pizza restaurant and Caroline. Vegetarian options were limited

United KingdomI wouldn't say "didn't like", just points to note. We stayed for 4 nights and found the lack of a wardrobe or hanging rail in our room meant we had to live out of a suitcase which was less convenient. In addition our bedroom was very cramped but we knew in advance there would be compromises given the historic nature of the buildings.
This hotel is set in a beautiful fjord in an ideal spot for exploring Lofoten. Our room was at the edge of the old wooden quay looking out towards a fishing boat and the sea beyond. Our room was in one of the historic buildings on site which was every bit the experience we expected. The room consisted of a bedroom, bathroom and kitchen/living space which was warm and comfortable We ate breakfast and dinner in the restaurant as other eating places would involve a long drive. We also tried the onsite pizza restaurant. The food was excellent, although drinks, wine in particular was expensive We stayed in mid April 24, 5 days of blue skies and 2C temperatures, snow on the mountains, empty roads, very beautiful

HungaryThe outside hot-tub needs cleaning more often and there needs to be a working shower for when you get out of the sauna.
Got upgraded to a standalone cabin, super cozy, warm, has all the space you'd need as a couple. Beautiful place, great staff, great breakfast and a lovely Italian lady making Italian pizza. I have to mention how spotless the cabin was and how comfortable the bed is.

Needed to upgrade as original room too small , luckily this was available and definitely worth the extra cost. Lovely breakfast and very helpful and friendly staff team

United KingdomThe bedroom was very small didn't like not being able to get out both sides of the bed. Some of the day tourists were annoying coming right up and staring in through our window and taking pictures right into our hut of them standing or sitting on the chairs outside.
Breakfast was good, Pizza's were amazing especially the staff, the fish in the restaurant was exceptional, the views were lovely except possibly the very smart new tractor parked at the rear, the views up by the lakes with sea eagles flying above were incredible. So lucky to see the Northern Lights.

United KingdomNot related to the inside of the property itself but as it was very icy during our stay. Some extra grit on the ground would be good. It was quite slippery going up the stairs to the property whilst carrying luggage etc.
We stayed in a harbor suite which had fantastic views. The property had everything and was beautifully designed. A very relaxing and chilled place to enjoy Nusfjord. The staff were super helpful and friendly. Breakfast options were varied and tasty. We also enjoyed the sauna and outdoor hot tub. Would stay here again for sure

ItalyNothing much! Maybe breakfast could be improved with some more homemade cakes and some a la carte options.
Super cute hotel with nice facilities! The location is stunning, especially if you’re lucky to get some sun. The spa was nice, albeit a bit small, the rooms are very cozy and well designed. The restaurant was nice and the food good. Breakfast was not bad, maybe not too much choice but not bad. The staff is nice and waited for us to arrive. Would definitely recommend!

SpainNothing to do with the hotel but was stranded in Leknes for 3 days at the end of my stay due to a storm which grounded all the small aircraft that service the island to the mainland. On a positive side the airline housed me in a very pleasant hotel.
What a beautiful complex and location! Staff were excellent from the reception, cleaners, waiting staff. Matej met me at the airport with the hotel taxi and took me back to the airport at the end of my stay. So great to meet such a positive and passionate person. He gave me some great tips to further enhance my stay in the resort. Many thanks Matej. The Pizza restaurant was warming and cosy with great pizzas and friendly service from the Italian girl who runs it. The night boat excursion in search of the Northern Lights was very enjoyable. Even though we didn`t see the lights, it was great to be out at sea viewing the snowy islands lit by a full moon. Priceless!!!

United States(winter season stay only) Our ocean-view-facing cabin, 204, is just a little far with the icy road/path from the restaurant and other facilities like the cafe, pizzeria, and spa. If you don't mind the cautious/careful walk, then it is a perfect cabin!
