Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaThe size of our room/cabin. I did book knowing it was going to be small. But shocked by it actual size. There was no room for our luggage, my daughter had her bags on the floor space & l had mine at the end of the bed, which meant l had to sleep with my feet up on it, so there was room to open the door enough to get through. It is difficult to get in out of our luggage when needed things. Didn't help as l get Claustrophobia, so I had mixed feelings on my stay. As we travelled all through Europe & had a backpack each also small backpack & we was there for 2 nights. Would be perfect if travelling light & maybe a night & don't suffer Claustrophobia.
Great location, great vibe to the place throughout.

United KingdomThe roof top bar breakfast was not good food. The downstairs café bar had great boiled eggs and overnight oats and soup but needs more choice for breakfast. The upstairs area was not very clean and was an odd layout.
Very relaxed place to stay. Hot tub on the roof was amazing. Staff were very helpful and had excellent communication

BrazilThere is a sauna and a hot tub, but I was unable to use them because they were always full. There’s no kettle, coffee, or tea-making facilities in the room, and no minibar either. I stayed for 4 days, and my room wasn’t cleaned once—not even the trash was taken out.
The hotel has a fantastic restaurant and bar. There is a place to use your laptop on the ground floor, and there is a games room.

SingaporeThe auto lock of balcony policy which might cause us being lock in the balcony. Small apartment with high price. Toilet at ground floor but shower room at 1st floor which not convenient
The location is very near to metro which 4 stops to central. We booked apartment with balcony but the balcony door will be automatically lock between 11pm to 7am which is not mentioned when booking. We booked apt with balcony but we are unable to enjoy it after 11pm due to the policy per reception staff. Apartment is very small, unable open our Luggages. The price is not cheap yet so small.

IrelandBooked two rooms as there was 5 of us. 3 children 2 adults, rooms were miles apart. One on 3rd floor one on first floor. It was fine but if they had the insight to put them together it would have been so much better considering the booking stated there was 3 kids.
The rooms were quirky. Small compact but had everything you needed plus a nice balcony.
