The pillows are of low quality for the hotel standard. We had a broken flush that kept flushing which was frustrating.

Beautiful hotel with a lot of character. Great location and an easy walk to lots of things. The room was very comfortable and quiet. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. There's no elevator in the hotel, but the staff assisted with carrying all our bags up and down the stairs for us. Would highly recommend this hotel.

I didn't mind, but worth noting no elevator, no twin rooms. It's perfect for couples who don't mind some stairs :)

Beautiful hotel with impeccable story telling behind every detail. It's very unique and perfect for a long weekend in Amsterdam.

Very very minor things. Could do with some slightly better lighting in the bedroom, this may be difficult with the style of the room. The shower glass doesn’t fully reach to the floor so does spray out ever so slightly. The shower to the right was ever slightly faulty so sprayed out more heavily from one part of the shower. But it was not a big problem and doesn’t take away from the functionality of the shower. The plugs within the bed are not suitable if you have a travel adaptor as they don’t fit against the wall. But again, easy to fix and manage as there are USB slots if you have the correct chargers! The fridge within the bed is an amazing concept but the functionality of pulling out and trying not to knock anything over was a bit annoying . All of this being said - this hotel is amazing.

The room was incredible. It was stunning and beautiful to stay in. Really unique and somewhere extra special. The breakfast was amazing and the staff amazing. Perfectly located and an easy walk. We stayed in the Benedict de Spinoza room and we fell in love. The staff pulled out all the stops to make our stay for my partners birthday perfect. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend anyone else to stay!

The only constructive criticism I can think to say is I'm an early riser and would love to have had the option to have breakfast earlier than the times given. Second, as beautiful as the property is the stairs are narrow and steep so if your luggage is big that may be a problem. Bathrooms are very small. The property serves no food other than breakfast.

My stay was in the Rembrandt room. The property and staff were absolutely incredible! The breakfast also brilliantly prepared and served . The copper tub in the room was on of the highlights of this room. Very unique space

A nice stay in a unique room.

    • Couple
    • Deluxe Double Room (Benedictus de Spinoza)
    • Stayed 3 nights

The room we stayed in was right on the ground floor, facing out into the street. We found it very noisy because people were slamming the front door all the time, standing around in front of the windows talking, and sitting on the window ledge like it was a bench talking on their cell phone. Something could be done to remedy these issues (I saw spiked rails, quite fancy ones, on other buildings to prevent people from sitting on ground floor windows, and I know you can buy mechanisms to cause doors to close quietly. Double glazing of the windows would help with street noise).

The staff were warm and welcoming, and were very helpful when asked about things (restaurants nearby, getting a taxi). The breakfasts were excellent.

This is a boutique hotel so it’s quite small (intimate) with very little in the way of common areas.

The room was amazing! Not only was it visually unique (I felt like I was in a movie) but they clearly thought about the mechanics of the room. Despite the obvious effort that went into aesthetics, it was minimalist. They had almost everything necessary and not much more.

A minor quibble, the curtains were difficult to shut completely if you want complete darkness & no full length mirror in our room but very minimal problems

Lovely, quiet location yet walking distance to the main centre. The breakfast was superb, best scrambled egg ever. Great to have it in the room. Staff were exceptional. Bed extremely comfortable.

The rooms and showers are beautiful but complex, and need better upkeep; it feels a little neglected. Also, the first room nearest the entrance would make a nice common area our hotel lounge.

The staff were wonderful, as was the breakfast, coffee, the rooms, hotel location, and design.

The only thing that was frustrating was that we had prepaid and they said we hadn't - so we ended up paying twice. And then we couldn't get a proper invoice which reflected what we had paid - this went back and forth a few times, as we just wanted a simple invoice. This process should be made earlier, but they were very nice about it.

Gorgeous hotel - booked it last minute as we had a plane cancelled and everything was so quick and easy. Loved the decor, the room, the staff were very helpful! We were leaving early before breakfast so they packed us a little care package - very cute.

We hated having to leave. But, we will certainly be back and staying longer at The Noblemen. We loved it!

We received exceptional assisance! Way beyond what we hoped for. We were in need of a Walker for an unanticipated health issue. The whole staff went out of their way to make sure we were helped enough to find the walker and go on our way for one terrific stay in Amsterdam. Do we recommend The Noblemen? ABSOLUTELY! Beautiful hotel, delicious breakfast, and a caring, professional staff. It doesn’t come any better.
