Friendly, Marco is a pleasant host. For the price, the facilities are quite acceptable, clean, comfortable bed, very good wifi, simple but good breakfast and dinner. Free parking.

If you are looking for privacy, the type of room I had was not sound proof. But I knew what I was booking, so it was expected. This was a great alternative to a hostel.

This is a beautiful area. It was nice that they had breakfast (meats, breads, hard boiled egg). Service was very good. There is a swan and ducks that come up in the evening in the little canal next to the hotel which is quaint and beautiful. For those who are looking for evening cocktails, there is a bar located downstairs. It is not busy, so there was no noise in the rooms. But the intoxicated patrons who came to bed at 1am made some noise. (Part of the charm)

Good location, quiet area, clean bathroom on the floor, free parking, Amsterdam is 10 minutes by car.

Next time I will bring my own pillow.

This nice little hotel/cafe, just a couple of minutes off the A2 highway in rural Vinkeveen is a relief compared to all the sterile hotel chains. The hotel (since 1906) is runned by the fourth generation owner who is always in for a nice chat. Early check-outs or late check-ins are not a problem which makes this hotel ideal for people working different hours than the normal 9 to 5. The staff is friendly and the rooms are sober and clean. I had a wonderful dinner made by the owner and I’m deffinatly coming back whenever I need a place to stay around Amsterdam or Utrecht.

Very noisy rooms did not enable us to sleep. Worse than basic breakfast. Grumpy personnel without human touch. Rooms were less than basic as were the showers you had to share with others.

The worst hotel in the Netherlands. It is very cold in the rooms. The walls are made of paper - it is very noisy to sleep. there was a broken window in my room, in winter! a cold wind constantly blew from the window - because of which I got sick. Stingy, low-quality breakfast for the view. The hotel is not intended for sleeping and does not care about its customers. Avoid this hotel.

For €115 this fell way short of our expectations: outdated, no amenities, not even a kettle. There were about 4 toilets/showers to 23 rooms. Not having an en suite toilet at all is not acceptable at this price point. Rural hostel accommodation for city hotel prices. We stayed in 3 other capital cities (London, Berlin, and Brussels) and each of those hotels were closer, better connected, more modern, had more amenities, had toilets in the room, and the most expensive one was still 55% cheaper. Breakfast was fine but again, for €115 fell short.

The location is very picturesque but a long way out of Amsterdam if that's what you're going for. Ignore the 15 minute supposed journey; it's more like 30-40. The girl running breakfast was also nice and friendly.
