Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

SwitzerlandThe breakfast buffet was okay. After reading other reviews, though, I expected a better choice and better food quality. However, given the central location, there are plenty of alternatives around. If you want better pancakes, go to Pancakes Amsterdam, and for bread, go to Brothers Niemeijer or Bakery Jongejans. The buffet is nice for its convenience. The bed was very firm. You might not enjoy your nights here if you like soft and squishy beds. The TV had Chromecast, which is nice, but the Wi-Fi was so unreliable that it made it impossible to watch a series episode all the way through without it disconnecting or freezing—but I guess if you're in Amsterdam, you don't come to watch TV.
The hotel is exceptionally well located. It's (almost) across the street from the central station, with a tram stop right next to it. The staff was friendly and helpful when we needed assistance or had questions. It was nice to have air conditioning in the room as it was warm. We had a bathtub in the room, which I've not seen at such a low price in quite a long time! Also, the room was more spacious than I thought it'd be for a central location in a European city. The room had a mini fridge with a couple of free drinks in it—very appreciated when it's become usual to have to pay for everything in other hotels. Coffee and tea was also available in the lobby for free all day, which is really nice. While the hotel doesn't have a restaurant, there are plenty of options around – give Takumi a try if you enjoy sushi and ramen, it's right next door and really good.

It is close to the Centraal which made for ease in getting there. The staff were quite helpful. A good breakfast.

United KingdomThere was a small error with an early check in and a mix up between staff meaning we almost checked into a room already occupied. We really didn't mind, because we were super early and it was a bonus to be able to check in at that time. The staff got a little stressed at each other over how they did things differently which was a bit uncomfortable. However, it soon blew over. I felt bad for both of them because they were so lovely and just trying to accommodate us. I wanted to reassure them that it was all OK.
Value for money, quirkier than your corporate type generic hotel. Nice character. Decent breakfast. Very comfy room.. Excellent facilities. Decent shower. Lovely staff. Couldn't want for anything else.

The location was superb! Everything was really close and although the hotel was located close to the station and other touristic area’s, there was hardly any outside noice to be heard! The free drinks from the mini bar and the coffee were also a nice surprise!

We found the location of the hotel excellent, just 3 minutes walking from the station and convenient for reaching many attractions The room was cozy and had anything we needed for a short stay.

CanadaI was extremely disappointed with Booking,com would not match prices even though I provided proof. Hotel management provided rates. I spoke to several Booking.com agents, and when emailed rates no follow up response was provided. After multiple correspondence, Price match was eventually denied because of wrong currency.
