The property was private and well setup for a family of 4, and would be even more spacious for a couple. We were able to swim from the private jetty and use the canoe. It was conveniently located for the tram and local shops - it is also close to a lovely marina and restaurants who deliver takeaway. Marjolein and Jan are lovely hosts.

It is a pity that you cannot cook, there is only a microwave in the kitchen.

Jan is an excellent host, we really enjoyed our stay. Very peaceful, with an excellent view straight on the cannel, close to the city (15 min to Central Station).

Beautiful setting looking out over the canal. Very quiet. Has a nice deck and outdoor seating area. Nice shower, comfortable bed. The proximity to public transportation is great. But most of all, the hosts were amazing. They made us dinner twice, did our laundry and offered to take us on a boat tour. Wonderful people!!

The place looks like a little quiet oasis very close to the busy town center. It was definitely one of the best places in which we stayed in Amsterdam, and we went there many times. Marjolein and Jan are very hospitable and friendly. Highly recommended

The room was clean and cozy with a very nice view of the water. The neighborhood is peaceful but still had some nice places to go out to eat and was very close to the tram stop. The host was lovely and very helpful in providing recommendations for things to see in the area and how to get there.

We enjoyed the stay in the Room with the a few in Amsterdam so much! Everything was ok, the appartment is cosy and well equipped with lovely small garden just by the canal (sitting there right by the water with the morning coffee or in the evening with the glass of wine was just amazing). And last but not least - Marjolein and Jan are really great, nice and friendly hosts, they took us for a boat trip and showed us their modern and interesting neighborhood IJburg. Thank you very much, we had a great vacation there.

17 minutes door to door from central Amsterdam. The host truly looks after your well being and check that you have everything you need. There are small shops and restaurants 5 minute walking distance from the room.

Microwave only, no cooking hob. GSM signal is very weak in the neighborhood, but Wi-Fi in the room is sufficient even for smart TV.

Nice room with a biautifull view on the water channel. Very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Grocery store, coffee house and tram stop nearby. Small and properly equiped kitchen and patio, spatious room. Very hospitable and helpful owners. Definitely recommend to stay!

It was brilliant, such a lovely studio leading directly onto the canal where you can sit and have morning coffee or go for a swim. Everything was comfortable and clean, small but perfectly formed. Plenty of towels, good mattresses and pillows, some basics like s&p, bin bags, washing-up liquid, coffee pods, tea bags, hand soap, hairdryer, etc. Location was perfect for us. Quiet, chilled out, relaxing mornings with coffee and pastries from the local shops around the corner, then a short tram journey takes you directly to central station and the hustle and bustle of downtown Amsterdam (trams are every few minutes until after midnight). Definitely hope to stay here again (possibly without the kids next time). Hosts were lovely people, very helpful checking everything was ok, with good tips of places to eat, etc. Plus added bonus is use of a 2-person kayak and a little trip down the canal on their small motor boat, which we did, along with the neighbours (also lovely people) and neighbours guests. I'd recommend to anyone who wants a special break away. It really is the best of both worlds at a Room with a Few

Located just a short metro ride from Centraal Station, this location is great. Dining and shopping are close, yet a serene canal is outside your gigantic window.

The room and the surroundings were adorable. It was easy to find, easy to get to the city center and everything else we needed was to be found in the neighbourhood. It was nice and clean and a quiet place, with a beautiful view from the room. The host was wonderful :)

Lovely studio with private access to a canal in Amsterdam. My favourite time of day were the mornings - I dipped my toes in the refreshing water as I watched the water flow. There are a few shops nearby that sell fresh croissants, as well as a bakery and a wine shop.

Great comfortable space for me and my husband, 15 minutes from Amsterdam Central by trams, super convenient walk to the tram stop. The studio comes with kitchenette, with fridge,and microwave with a coffee machine. Jan and Marjolein was excellent host, friendly, communicative, and very attentive. We would definitely recommend the stay!
